Especially if teams are going to continue to run right at him. Especially if we have LBS right now who seem to not be able to get to the ball quick enough. I think it's time to get more creative with Micah instead of just always rushing him from one side, and letting him take a pounding! Please give your thoughts

It’s Clear, the blue print is out on how to beat this defense. I wouldn’t be opposed to him, playing middle linebacker and situational pass rusher. You can bet your booty Bella check will be ready to attack us at our weakness. Change it up a little bit and keep them guessing

I don't think its a new blueprint. The niners couldnt run on us in the playoffs last year when the "blueprint" was out. Looked to me like the consensus was the run game deficiencies was due more to lack of gap discipline and players missing assignments, along with just generally getting beat up and outplayed. Cards played harder and we weren't ready.

Regardless on if it’s a real blueprint or not, teams are going to test it, and test it often. Why not mix it up just a bit? Clearly LVE is a liability when it’s RPO or runs to the outside.

He had 13 sacks as a rookie. He only started 4 games at DE...
Sure, he is more than capable of playing a hybrid role, however it's a complete overreaction to one bad game by this team. Micah on the LOS is on pace for 20+ sacks this season and constantly frees up the rest of the line for frequent 1v1 matchups.

LVE played terrible on Sunday, but overall is a solid middle backer. You have high potential guys like Clark who can play the weak side. One loss doesn't mean you start shifting the entire defense around. Develop the guys you have in place instead.

It's really not the topic I have an issue with it's the why behind it all.

Micah anywhere but in the backfield is a waste of his talents.

Doesn't matter where you line him up or what position you want to call him. The only thing he should ever be doing is playing downhill and getting in the backfield.

Asking him to run sideline to sideline to prevent a 3-yard gain from becoming a 6-yard game is an awful waste of his talents.

A defensive collapse

Shelve all the talk about how great this defense is, because with the known issues on the offensive line, they really needed to step up. Instead they repeatedly fell flat on their face, giving up runs of 45, 44, 26, 23, and 20, plus a 69-yard bomb where the secondary completely lost the receiver. The last may have been partly attributable to the loss of Trevon Diggs for the season in the preceding week, but those gashing runs were just a total failure by a team that was supposed to have this problem from the last few seasons fixed. They don’t, and it was what really killed the team. Arizona averaged 7.4 yards per rushing attempt, and that is almost impossible to win against.

There was a moment at the end of the first quarter when Micah Parsons was visibly confused about what the defense was trying to do, and that seems to have been the case throughout the game. This was absolutely shocking. Dan Quinn has just as big a problem to fix as McCarthy, and his genius status took a huge hit in this game.

Yes he needs move around. Our lb play sucks. He doesn’t need rush like crazy man every play only for rb to run right past him.

Not MLB but it may be time to switch to some 3-4 concepts and have Micah line up on the line then drop into coverage or key off the RB on early downs. The mindset of these DE is just get sacks, but Quinn has to temper this and keep these guys disciplined or they get burned by guys who can take advantage of their over aggressiveness.
