I'm not a fan of returning punts. Between fumbles and penalties, it seems whatever good you do is offset but the bad. It's the Garrett-pulaski approach: always fair catch.

That said, Turpin has been good.

I am guessing he fumbled today? I don't live in Texas, we got the IGGLES- GIANTS game on FOX at noon today. They went to the Dallas game late, and I got to see the D make two stops on 4th down inside the 10. And now Zeke getting what should be the winning TD. Why on earth was this game so close?

Yeah I wouldn’t bench him. The guy barely touches the ball, he’s going to make a mistake just don’t let it become a habit.

We actually need him. He's a threat. And he needs to be used on offense too.

Hec, if we benched players over a single mistake, this whole team would routinely get benched.

Yes, he fumbled early in the game. It was a big momentum changer.

Is anyone else ready to test someone else on kick return? I've seen Turpin run right into guys instead of trying to avoid them. I mean he does have the speed to get to the outside and blow past guys right?? Maybe try #34 back there, see what's happens or even Tolbert. We can't say he hasn't been kicked to, because he has several times .
I agree, he's got to go!

Why is it always the same posters with the absolute worst takes?

Do you really not know football or are you trying to get a stir?
Because today he fumbled, put us on the 12 and 2 yd lines on 3 punts. We can’t do better? Really?

He needs better, more consistent blocking. He probably fair caught that one because he didn't expect the gunners to be blocked.

I think he'll improve with additional time spent into the NFL's ways. He'll learn more as he goes and become bolder in the process.

He has all the speed, elusiveness and moves to make the most of his returns, even when his blocking is something less than ideal.

He singlehandedly opened the door for the Texans today and almost cost us the game. That game was over if we take it down and score and he let them think they could hang in and win. He needs to be cut tomorrow morning. He hasn't done jack in the return game.

Isn't TP some sort of college megastar on kick returns? Asking for a friend as to why we don't use him seeing we use him so well as our feature back...lol

If a team can't support a player with the most talent they've had in many years, that team and its fans deserve to lose.
That did not happen. Turpin will be retained, as long as this team's management sees fit to keep him in house. :flagwave:

Any team worth their salt must see fit to support their players through their worst times, just like their best times. :D

Seriously? It's one bad game. He's been consistently good and close to breaking a few. He needs better blocking and just a small crease. His time will come.

Turpin is ranked 8th in the NFL. Tough game yesterday but sorry claiming Cowboys should cut him is ridicules

Ahh, so we need to judge the entirety of his season by one play ...

Why would the fact he's 4th in the NFL in punt return average count for anything?
