Move on from the Turpin experiment

People underestimate the difficulty and importance of fielding punts cleanly. Turpin is excellent at it. He will break a long one before the season is over. It's not easy.

I think this too. He's had a few that looked close. I think he finds one, hopefully in the playoffs.

For once I would like to see the Gunners blocked so they're not right on top of him as he's catching the ball.
I don't know, that might help.

A lot of similarities here.

Five NFL seasons, including a Pro Bowl appearance, @ 5-7, 145 lbs?

I'm intrigued to see if KaVonte can do something similar. Put me on the pro-Turpin list.

On those multiple jet sweeps using 88 to get knocked around how about using 9 every now and then . Here’s a thought Turpin on a go route every game he might drag a safety downfield with him open it up underneath . Like Tolbert the guys collecting dust .

Was highlighted on Break today that they've been cognizant that Turpin's been playing football practically the entire year, and that there's a load management concern to the degree he would be regularly incorporated into the offense. Sense is that they want to minimize his touches for awhile in hopes he'll be fresher for the last games of the season.

Not at all. He can't break one every game. The containment of the opposing teams is dialing in. He will get his.

Is anyone else ready to test someone else on kick return? I've seen Turpin run right into guys instead of trying to avoid them. I mean he does have the speed to get to the outside and blow past guys right?? Maybe try #34 back there, see what's happens or even Tolbert. We can't say he hasn't been kicked to, because he has several times .

IS2G y’all come up with some STUPID stuff!!!! He’s literally in the pro bowl conversation by the national media for stuff he did in the pre season when it didn’t even matter. This kid dictates how many drives start at the 25-30 yard line more than any other returner in the NFL. Wowwwwww, just wowwwwww. Has the zone been invaded by closet Fecal fans, or troll Foreskin fans, or 11 year olds?? C’mon

Put whoever is least likely to fumble back there.
Yes, exactly- can only remember one fumble by Turpin and the other team didn't get it. His numbers are good, he doesn't fumble, and has the speed to break a big one too. I agree he was real shaky last game, but still didn't cough it up.

He has exactly 0 fumbles.
Not true- he did fumble in the Minnesota game. Not because he was hit, but because he just didn't catch it. It either went out of bounds or one of his teammates grabbed it- no harm done. It was deep in the Dallas end, but very close to the sideline. That game was a blowout anyway, and it was really the only bad thing that happened all game- so no big deal.
