Val Kilmer in Tombstone?Off-topic but a future thread may deal with actors "robbed" of an Oscar win or nomination. Here were the nominees and winner in the Best Actress category during the 2004 ceremonies:
*WINNER* Charlize Theron, Monster
Keisha Castle-Hughes, Whale Rider
Diane Keaton, Something's Gotta Give
Samantha Morton, In America
Naomi Watts, 21 Grams
I will go to my grave believing Uma Thurman should have gotten a nomination for Kill Bill: Volume 1. All respect to Watts but Theron had the best performance. Even so, Thurman's name should have been in the running.
Thurman did win a Saturn Award for Best Actress but those are specific to certain genres. Her Golden Globes and BAFTA Best Actress nominations carry more critical acclaim weight for me personally.
