Murray 2,000+ yards?

This reminds me a lot of the 90s Cowboys where you know we're going to run it, but you can't do anything about it.

I want him fresh down the stretch.
I hope we spread the carries as much as realistically possible

Need to get rid of Clutts and bring in Williams, and start doing a little bit more RBC when we have the chance.

Wow. Give him the rock and he will get those yards?

It's clear he has a chance.

Is it best for the team?
i don't buy the "tread on tires" theory so much. An athlete's peak differs from person to person. One could argue that Murray's injury history may prove beneficial long term.

He's beasting with no sign of wear or tear right now. Let's enjoy it.

DeMarco Murray has 99 carries for 534 yards. Avg 5.4 per and 5 touchdowns. They're pounding this rock.

Regardless of how this plays out- what I like most is how consistent Murray is running. He doesn't have a couple 70 yard runs to skew those stats. He's legitimately pounding for 5+ yards on a regular basis, which is invaluable.

Those numbers are crazy!

Thought Randle looked great last night as well. Gotta spell Murray more, though I understand why you wouldn't when he looks as good as he has

Randle only gets like 4 touches a game. Just give some carries to him rather than bring in Williams....

A lot of us would like to see Williams out there rather than Randle. I think having a committee between Williams and Randle, and even Dunbar, we'll be able to see where we really are at RB.

This is championship caliber offense right now, and rushing. As long as our defense continues to improve - and there's a lot that I saw that suggests that it will - I think we'll continue to surprise people this year, just like I suspected.

As for Murray, it's ridiculous. Teams are putting 8 and 9 in the box and he's still ripping off 20-yarders. That's not all offensive line, since it's 5 on 8 blocking -- that's also the back. The whole unit is working in unison right now and it's amazing to watch. We spent three first rounders on offensive linemen in 4 years -- here's to hoping we do the same on the defensive front beginning with this last year. Or, lets hope Mincey continues to look like a disruptive force, and hope that someone can push Hayden to the inactive list.

Like your avitar,I just saw that yesterday somewhere.:)

Unfortunately I'm afraid he's going to get hurt before that is possible.

I think we should be limiting his carries whenever possible. I'd have played Randle more late in that game last night.

Would love for Murray to get 2000 yards, or just even to lead the league in rushing. But that's the furthest thing I'm thinking of. Just do enough to help get the wins. I'm fine with that.

I think they thought about resting Murray and the quick strike by the Saints scared them so they put him back in to close out the game.

I think they were playing Randle some in the 3rd quarter, rest Murray, then pound Murray in the 4th. Like the 90's teams did with Emmitt.
