I think they thought about resting Murray and the quick strike by the Saints scared them so they put him back in to close out the game.

Probably true, but I think in that situation you still have to have faith in your backup. If you can't trust him to do a decent job when you're up by two TDs late in a game, when can you?

I think they were playing Randle some in the 3rd quarter, rest Murray, then pound Murray in the 4th. Like the 90's teams did with Emmitt.

That's the whole point, that using Murray like Emmitt would be a huge mistake. He's already proven that he's not even close to as durable as Emmitt was.
