Honestly I like Demarco Murray but honestly I might be tempted to take those monies and use them in Free Agency on the Defense than look for Melvin Gordon from Wisconsin at #27. You get a young bacl locked up for a cheap 4 year contract that in my feeling

Y'all come on...enough already with this non sense.... We went through every running back situation there is in then last two decades, and guess what???None of it worked....we finally have one of the best in the NFL and he's only 26. If JJ finds a way to get this done, all of y'all will turn back into DM lovers....

Take Yeldon in the fourth. Defense in rounds 1-3.

This seems more likely than taking a RB in the 1st. However, you may have to use your 3rd rounder if RBs start coming off the board in the 2nd round

Jay Ajayi. I just posted a thread about him before I saw this one.

I really like him too after looking at a bit of his running style. I think it will translate well to the pros. He runs real low to the ground with excellent agility and balance. He is shifty in tight spaces and also a decent receiver. The one negative is he doesn't have breakaway speed but I can live with that in a guy who you can get in the 3rd round or wherever he is projected to go.

We should just pay Murray a decent salary on a year to year basis up to 5-6m. Don't use any signing bonus or guaranteed money in the deal so they can absolutely walk away at any time.

Why would he do this? They all play for guaranteed money.

Higher salary for lower guaranteed, say 2/12m

He already turned down lower salary with more guaranteed, 4/16m say 10m guaranteed

Either way it's a buyers market for RBs, so he has to make some tough decisions

Gurley won't be there in the 2nd when we select though. He's the best runningback prospect in the country. So someone is taking him in the 1st round.

Well, maybe before the late 2nd.

No RB has gone in the 1st round the last two drafts. And with his injury, most think Gurley will be the 2nd (or 3rd or 4th) RB selected.

If JJ and the Cowboys have "changed", why would take a RB in the first round? Ain't gonna happen!!!!

Draft a D-Lineman or CB/S at #27, whichever position has the BPA.

Draft Tevin Coleman, T.J. Yeldon, or Jay Ajayi later in the draft. Would be much more beneficial.
