I have a feeling it may, and I'm gonna be left hugely disappointed to the point of anger tbh.

Unless LVe isn’t coming back or we are transitioning to a 3-4, this is a wasted pick.

Well one of the LBERS might be the best player available

or LVE or J one leg might get hurt might not make the whole season

why in 4- 3 we still need 3 LBERS ?

I’ve got zero issues taking Murray at 17 under the right scenario. I think Queen is highly overrated and would have to have a specialized role as an undersized LB.

How many snaps defensively did we have 3 linebackers on the field for? Genuine question , dont we play nickel 75% of the time?

The only thing i can think of is Jaylon will spend a lot more time as a pass rusher in Nickel. I agree it doesn't seem to add up otherwise, barring injury.

I think we’re putting too much faith in LVE coming back 100%, Lee is 34 when the season starts, and Jaylon is a liability in coverage/open space

We had that "smash your TV" thread the other day - I would smash my TV if Queen was the pick at #17. People complain about Murray's instincts, but I think Queen's are worse.

If the team feels good about LVE I’d be hard pressed to take a LB early. If there are concerns, Simmons is the only 1st round LB IMO.

Way more value in looking at guys like Brooks or Wilson a round or 2 later.

That would be a disastrous pick on so many levels. Might tip the scale on LVE's health, and you aren't getting value in the 1st round.
This team needs to look at value positions in the 1st round in general.
Draft Value positions in the first round
QB
WR
OT
DE
Edge Rushers
Top Tier pass rushing DT
CB
S

Everything else should be drafted in later rounds.

I believe 7/10 non-pass rushing LB's were taken in the second round or later.
NT or 1 tech DT doesn't bring value of 1st round value in return.
Most of the top OG in the league are drafted outside of the 1st round. The exception to the rule are elite OG Zach Martin, Decastro, Nelson, and Scherff.
RB the shelf life of RB's isn't long so to take one in the first you aren't getting that long term investment teams covet from 1st rounders.

big fan of Kenneth Murray...0 problem with him as our pick...@17 or trade back.

that was under the old staff, tho.
we have no idea what Nolan will do til we see it.

if Henderson and Chaisson are off the board...why force the pick...if Murray is the BPA on their board you take'm and don't look back.

I would not like the LB in round 1, but the rest of that draft is fine with me.
