Yes its a panic. If just a YEAR ago you thought Maxwell and Demarco were worth what they got and you blamed coaching....you got rid of the coach and now you are getting rid of them after one year. That's the definition of PANIC lol. They are in tank mode. So I Guess i'll give them credit. But I surely wouldn't model my franchise over what they are doing.

So I just want to be clear here. The Cowboys cutting Brandon Carr, thus saving 6.5MM against the cap, would be an unwise move and panic move?

So cutting a bad player who you could find the same production from at a fraction of the cost is a bad player?

If that is part of this deal then that is different. Normally the team trading for the player assumes the whole contract.

No I believe the team trading for the player takes on the annual salary and the team trading the players has the guarenteed money accelerate on there cap

What's it going to be then, eh?

One thing I notice about teams in the NFL is not only how many mistakes they make, but also how they cope with them.

Like them or not, the Eagles decided to let the whole reactor melt down and start over and quick.

Patriots do the same thing.

And interestingly enough, it is not crippling them in the least.

People can laugh at the Eagles at bailing on bad deals after a year but at least they are recognizing it and looking to purge.

We don't do that in Dallas. We take a bad thing and really savor every last ounce of awfulness from it. Bathe in the stench, if you will.

What example do you have of this? Brandon Carr wasn't bad enough to get cut after one year of being here. You guys can't be serious about this lol.

You really have no idea what you are talking about.

Explain to me why we can't cut Carr and what that has to do with 3 OL coming up in the next 3-4 years for new contracts?

I never said we couldn't cut Carr. I'm saying they don't care about next year's cap hit because they don't have anyone to re-sign next year worth anything that's young. They have no foundation. Sam Bradford is their franchise qb. You guys are just looking for a reason to harp on about how bad the Cowboys are. We get it. But this isn't the example of it. You could find so many more examples or so many other organizations to try and compare us to.

No money would make me move to Phily.

Ehhh...you give me Demarco's money I would lol. Or i'd at least play there and just dip out in the offseason lol.

As always we are left picking up the scraps!!!!! The eagles are stockpiling picks for a move on a QB!!!!

If not a QB, they are targeting someone. And if they are looking to trade Matthews also, I think they may be wanting a RB, as in Elliot.
Jerry, you better draft Elliot.

I don't know, Over the Cap shows the Eagles only taking a $4MM hit in dead money on a trade.

Sheesh. I have NO IDEA why you are bringing up Carr. This started because you guys are COMMENDING the Eagirls for signing two players to INSANE deals and trading them a YEAR later. Carr doesn't fit that description. He's not getting TRADED, he has no VALUE and he's been here for years. It would've been moronic to cut Carr after year 1. He was solid his 1st year here. Cutting him now...no that wouldn't be silly. But you are comparing apples to oranges.

Yeah i'm shocked they don't want Matthews. He looked good. He's injury prone but he has a decent deal. They will be addressing running back. A bit arrogant to do this move now if the plan was to do all of this for Elliot though.

Lol.....eagles are making moves, and CZ is having a letdown.....this time last year when Kelly was making all these moves, trades ,getting rid of players.....people were having a meltdown too.

When they hired Chip Kelly, people had a meltdown...because chips O beat up Kiffens D in college.....

What have the Eagles done....nothing...so why the meltdown again?

Eagles makes moves right away, Cowboys don't.....less have a meltdown....lol...

Right. Its silly. Do you remember the CLASSIC thread of "Chip Kelly is a genius..." thread where people were complaining how we don't have a Chip Kelly here and we needed one? It was classic lol. Cowboy fans panic worse than the Eagirls do.

Because you responded to me when I said the Eagles see a bad contract and try to purge it and yet we see a bad deal with Carr and let it play out.

Forget Year 1, Year 3, whatever.

It's bad contracts. The Eagles are purging (or trying to purge) bad contracts. We have one ourselves in Brandon Carr (forget the year, it's a bad contract NOW) and we keep farting around with him.
