One plus for wildcard is our contenders are going to be playing each other a lot and racking up losses. The NFC West and the Lions and Packers.
4 of six is and I think 11 will get us in the wildcard. But I think we need more than an wildcard.
Based on the fact that we seem to be a better road team than home team right now, the wild-card route might be OK.
At the moment, though, I just want to make it to the dance.
I admit I will feel better once they put the mark next to the name in the standings to show we have clinch a spot, hopefully we will have a spot before week 17 and be in position to take the East in the end
I wouldn't chalk up a loss to the Packers or Seahawks by any stretch. Green Bay is good but their defense can give up a lot of points and the Eagles can post up a ton of them. Not to mention that Green Bay's O-line is suspect against good pass rushing teams (which Philly happens to be very good at). Seattle can't pass the ball, as it is, to save their lives and Philly can get to the QB as well as any team in the league, right now. I hate Philly as much as anyone but they are a seriously legitimate contender to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl this year. I'll guarantee you that neither Green Bay or Seattle are chalking this one up as a win.
I don't know that all 4 are must wins, but they better win 3 if they want to make the playoffs and then handle the Skins in week 17.
We just need to worry about taking care of business at home and stealing one on the road. 10-6.
Philly being the better team remains to be seen. The Cowboys and Garrett have also done a fantastic job too. And you might as well say we can't win, you've already submitted that we probably won't sweep them and that they are the better team. Based off of what? Their running game isn't better, their oline definitely isn't better, their defense isn't better either. And there is nothing sillier than saying 'well I think it's more likely Philly sweeps us than we sweep them'. And you are basing this off of what? You are dismissing us before those two games are even played so you are damn right I'm going to say we shouldn't even play the game when you are spouting off nonsense like that..
Remember 3 games in 11 days coming off the bye with 2 of them being road games. I will be happy if they they go 2-1. I think the Giants or the Bears will be really up to play the Cowboys.
Yup, but don't forget -- on the other side of that "3 games in 11 days" is another mini-bye...a full ten days to prepare for the second game with Philly. The Bears weren't up to play Green Bay, their most hated rival. While I suppose it's possible they get more up to play "America's Team," I would have to seriously question their agenda at that point. If they rolled over against Green Bay the way they did, they're ready to roll over, period.
I am sorry.
We are awesome. Probably gonna win out.
That better?
I think its more likely we get swept by Philly than us sweeping Philly.
The game on Thanksgiving is a must win IMO. Can't lose that and then expect to win in Philly IMO.
Oh yeah fully aware of the mini bye. That does not change 3 games in 11 days on the front side.

It is also unfortunate that they play the late game on Sunday night in New York and then play 4 days later on Thanksgiving. The Giants game should have been a 1:00 game. That's hard travel on a team. Those guys wont get home to their family until 5-6 am EST the next day probably.
I am sorry.

Next 4 games are all must wins in my book. If we want to win the NFC East that's what has to happen. Looking at the Eagles schedule they have @GB which I can see them losing but then it's pretty easy. They get Seattle at home. I think to win this division we have to sweep the games with the Eagles.
Let's work through this.
Philly will probably beat TEN, WAS and NYG. That gives them 10 wins and 4 wins in the division. That means we cannot win the division-record tiebreaker against them. That leaves us the following paths to the division title:
1. Sweep Philly and at least match their record.
2. Split with Philly and win out otherwise, getting us to 12 wins. This requires them to lose to GB and SEA.
3. Have my premise be wrong such that Philly drops one or more of the games I'm giving them (TEN, WAS, NYG). Lots of paths available if that happens.
So yeah, to win the division, we're pretty close to every game being a must win.
That's fine. That's scenario 3 and opens up lots of options. I still think they probably win those games, but they could certainly drop one or both. We can't count on it, though.I disagree with your very first assumption. The Eagles have to finish the year on the road against two divisional rivals -- it's not going to be nearly as easy to win those games as you seemingly think. Heck, if we finished on the road against the Commanders and Giants, people here would be freaking out. Divisional games in opponents' stadiums are tough, especially this time of year. These are the very last games of the year. I think both the Giants and Commanders bring everything but the kitchen sink against the Eagles.
