Must win the next 4

Next 4 games are all must wins in my book. If we want to win the NFC East that's what has to happen. Looking at the Eagles schedule they have @GB which I can see them losing but then it's pretty easy. They get Seattle at home. I think to win this division we have to sweep the games with the Eagles.

Have they changed the definition of "must win" games?

We could split 3-3 and still get in.

So, if you said we must win 3 of 6 that would make more sense. Heck, some get in at 9-7

He was saying must win if the Cowboys hope to win the NFCE. It could happen, but I highly doubt that 9-7 gets any NFC team outside the NFCS into the playoffs... 10-6 might not even do it.

Honestly, I don't want the NFC east title. Means next to nothing to these players.
Only means something to Jerry. Host a playoff loss home game - no thanks.

This team needs to go rogue, road warrior through playoffs.

I agree, this team plays much better on the road than at home. That sounds kind of crazy, but I just don't trust the Cowboys at home much as I do when they play on the road. The only teams I would be a little nervous to play on the road in the playoffs is New Orleans or Seattle. Going to Arizona, Green Bay, Detroit or San Francisco doesn't frighten me at all.

I think its more likely we get swept by Philly than us sweeping Philly.

The game on Thanksgiving is a must win IMO. Can't lose that and then expect to win in Philly IMO.

Dallas won in Philly last year, 17-3, with an awful defense.

Winning the East guarantees a playoff spot. Anything outside that produces scoreboard watching and hoping for a wildcard spot. Cowboys aren't guaranteed anything even at 10 wins .....unless the 3 wins are against the eagles and another division opponent.

I agree to a certain extent -- the team does seem to play better on the road and several teams have taken that road through the playoffs in recent years (which is why this whole "4 of the last 6 games are on the road" doesn't really concern me that much). But I'm still hoping for a first-round bye, which means we need to keep winning.

Its unfortunate because the road is tough. Home field not being an advantage drives me nuts.

We have some serious lumber coming our way. No game is guaranteed, but we probably are staring at losses against the Iggles and Colts. Guess who we need to contend with at the end of the season? Washingmachine is going to throw every blitz in the book at us ... it's going to be their Super Bowl.

I think 9-7 very well might be good enough. While I do think there will be 2 wild cards with at least 10 wins, I also think one of those teams could have still got in if they were only 9-7.

Why would you say that? I don't think we will get swept by the Eagles.

I didn't say we would get swept. I think we will split. But someone mentioned earlier about us sweeping Philly. All I said is that I think it's more likely they would sweep us than we would sweep them. I never said they would definitely sweep us. I guess I have just a higher opinion of the Eagles than some here.

14-3 in their last 17 regular season games. 9 game home winning streak. They are winning games without a great offense. And I think Sanchez, while not great, is better than Foles who was awful this year. I think the T-giving game is a must win because I am not sure we can win up there in December even with a 10 day rest.

No smart*** it isn't. You don't make any sense. You say the Eagles are better when there is no basis for it and you say it's more likely that the Eagles beat the Cowboys twice than the other way around when there is no basis. Neither team has played each other head to head so instead of coming up with some bull**** out of your *** why don't you actually wait and see what happens when the two teams play twice. That's what's better.

You have anger issues. Why you are getting so worked up over an opinion is priceless. And note, wacko, I never said we would get swept.

My opinion is we need to win that Thanksgiving game because I am not confident we can earn the split by winning in Philly in December. I await your next vulgarity laced tirade.

You're still here trolling I see. And lol at anger issues. WTH are you talking about. If you bothered to look I'm not the only one that has a problem with the nonsense you are spewing. Go to the Eagles board and cheer them on please. You haven't made any sense on this issue and no basis for what you are saying. Just throwing bs out there to see if it will stick.

I think it will be extremely difficult to win in Philly in December. We don't seem to play well down the stretch in recent years, Philly is on a 9 game winning streak at home. I think Kelly is a very good coach and the Eagles are 14-3 in their last 17 regular season games. Defensively, they are generating pressure unlike they did last year when they were terrible rushing the passer. Their DC is using a lot more exotic blitzes, etc. (something we showed we still have issues with when the Skins blitzed us a few weeks ago). Statistically, they are better on defense than last year and while their sack totals are skewed, they are still generating more pressure this year than last year.

I think Sanchez is mediocre but I suspect he'll be better than Foles was earlier this year. Foles was dreadful and it was a bad break that he got hurt IMO for us. We don't have a great pass rush but even against mediocre pass rushes, Foles was hearing footsteps and throwing off his back foot a lot. Sanchez, has a bit more pocket mobility and I think with Kelly's coaching, he'll be at least effective.

Now if you could read, nowhere did I suggest we will get swept. But IMO, if we have any thoughts on winning this division, a split is an absolute must obviously and I don't have the confidence in trying to earn that split by trying to win up there in December. That's why I think the T-giving game is an absolute must win.

I also still think we have some holes on defense. While I agree we are better than last year, we still are one of the worst teams in the NFL in yards per play. The totals are down because we keep teams offenses off the field. We also still struggle to generate a consistent pass rush which is what I think you need to beat Philly.

If you find that position outrageous, then I have no idea what to tell you.

I'm beginning to think the Cowboys are better off being a road dog in the playoffs. Their worst performances this year have been at home. Undefeated on the road. Not excited about a home playoff game. Stinks of 2007.

There are a lot of options and combinations of wins and ,losses for us to win the division, but in reality if we beat the Eagles twice it would be very hard for them to win the division. Two wins against the Eagles puts them at two games behind us, and needing to get two more wins than us to pass us in the rankings.
