Also I might add. The Aaron Glenn pick up helped out Newman in his play this year. He took Newman under his wing, and Terrance has had a wonderful year because of that. IMO.....

To my mind the most valuable player on this team this year is also it's best player - La' Roi Glover.

The defense has outperformed the offense overall, and we saw a minimum of (considering what it could have been - Larry Johnson like performances week to week) of that illness that so often plagues a new schematic installation - getting your arse handed up to you up the middle.

A good case can be made the D wouldn't have gelled as fast had the secondary not done such a good job, and Newman/Henry/Glenn have done very well, but the real learning curve has been in the front seven. La'Roi's anchoring has been so solid that the guy brought in to play the 3-4 nose is just an important part of the rotation, not LG's replacement. And LG continues as the best 4-3 dt we've got.

Glover, and Ellis as well, bought us more time than I ever imagined. Time for the kids like Spears and Ware and Canty to learn the ropes, and solid run stopping that allowed the young backers to get their sea legs too. After losing Dat's savvy game management and vision, Glover's vet presence becomes even more critical.

An unglamorous spot like 3-4 dt, and a guy who doesn't even take all the defensive snaps...not a sexy pick, but he's crucial. At the three tech or the nose.

La'roi is the glue of the D, imo. And the D is our best playing unit.

My MVP anyway.

IMO... I think it Glenn, the other Glenn. Aaron basically won the game for us in SD. When I saw the pictures from that game, wow!!! what a pick in the endzone. He kept us in the game in NY, single handedly. The Giants were trying to pick on him with Burress and he shut him down. And, as others have stated, what he's done for Newman has been remarkable. Alot of Newman's sucess is attributed to the addition of Glenn.

Second and so on, would be:
2. Bledsoe- can't understate what he's done for this team.
3. T. Glenn- biggest threat on our offense.
4. R. Williams - All over the field all the time (BTW he got blamed by blind announcers again for blown coverage on Kennison TD. He was on the other side of the field)
5. M. Barber - he's the spark plug for this offense, similar to JJ last year. When we need a play, who's more likely to get the ball than him.

Bledsoe is one that we cannot afford to lose. If he goes down, we are done.

Our OLine has struggled even with a passing threat at QB, if we have Romo or Henson back there, and no threat of a passing game, our OLine struggles even more.

Which makes running even more difficult.

Which makes more 3 & outs, which makes for a tired defense in the 4th quarter of what has turned out to be ALL close games.

T Glenn, Roy, TNew, LaRoi, ... all good picks too, but if Bledsoe goes down, the domino affect would be catastrophic.

Not sure if that makes him the MVP, but he is the one that we can least afford to lose.
