Onto the story....

It was 1pm CST time. I was reading these forums and wondering what type of tame the Cowboys were going to have against the Colts. All week, we had been debating here alot of things. Whether Romo was going to keep up playing good, were the colts going to keep their undefeated streak etc. It was then when I began to realize how big this game was. Not just for Romo, but for all the Cowboys as well. Peyton´s first trip to Texas Stadium, the cowboys possibly fnding in Romo the new franchise QB, many things were at steak. This game was too good not to be there ..... TO BE CONTINUNED......

I checked on the Dallascowboys website and on Ticketmaster and the game was obviously sold out. I checked on the ¨Ticket exchange¨ program. and oune ONE ticket. I hesitated a bit... A few minutes later, I had the news that I had to travel to Laredo TX for some business stuff, so there went my time to decide wheter to buy the ticket or not. I rushed, went home, got my passport, some cash, filled up my car´s tank, and started a Journey. It is a 2 hour drive to Lareado, so i was supposed to get there around 4pm cst and come back around 7pm cst.. no big deal...... Halfway throug my trip...i HAD the idea roaming my mind, over and over... the game... The possibility to see Manning live, during his best days.... the possibility to be at texas stadium again.... Seeing Romo in his 1st start on regular season at texas stadium... I begain feeling the urge to see the game.

But, what was I going to do? I was in the middle of nowhere, and nothing to do. I then called a friend at work, and told him to get online, and see the ticket for me, the one I had already seen, it was still there... i said to myself, "what the heck, lets do this... ill just drive an extra 10 hours, I got my wallet, credit cads.. and all i needed to do was follow Highway 35 north all the way to dallas. I hesitated, but I told him to buy me the ticket! It was done!!! I had the ticket, but there was a problem, during the rush, I had forgotten my laptop and had no place to prink the PDF. Anyway... it was done, there was no way back..... it was either driving all the way to Dallas, or loosing the money I had just spent..

I got to Lareado, went to see my client, took me like 1 hour. AND i Rushed to the PO Box location, since I got there often, they let me use their pc to print the ticket.

All was set!!! I followed to Target, bought myself some clothes, a toothbrush, toothpasete, and other items requiered...... TBC

Was this your first game at Texas Stadium?

Looks like you got some good pre game pics.

Did you see Jessica Simpson hiding anywhere?

Nice story dude. My friend thanked me lot of times for getting tickets so early. I think he has been going to Texas Stadium since about 81 or so, and he thinks this is probably one of the best games he has seen in the stadium. It was just awesome.

Can't wait to see your pics. Sounds like you had a great time. Gotta do those type of impromptu things when you're young!

After I got everythng from target....I began going north!!! 10 Horus ahead of me. San Antonio, San Marcos, Austin, Waco, and finally Dallas.ç

I called my friend from work and told hm to do me the favor to locate me a hotel near the stadium. After 30 mins or so, he called back, and had booked me in a Courtyard Marriot a few miles away!!! He gave me the phone number of the hotel, and I called to get directions once i got to Dallas. I took out my iPod. connected iTrip, and began the journey!

After 9 or so hours..... and a nice sceenery on the road, I got the the limits of Dallas! I was sooo excited. I saw from afar that big building with green outline lights, and that building with a light sphere on the top!!! I was reaching downtown dallas!!!

The anticipation was getting higher and higher!!!!

Question about printing your ticket? Can you explain how that works in more detail?

Thanks

On www.dallascowboys.com under tickets, there is an option that says "Ticket exchange" Where I belive, season ticket holders that cannot go, offer tickerts for specific games. When you buy the ticket with a CC, you get a PDF file on your email, with a barcode, that works as a ticket, so you need to take care of that!

Anyway.... things get better... On the day of the game, I woke up early, around 9 am CST, i was just too anxiout to get on the game. I had breakfast, and called a cab EARLY, i wanted to get there, buy my ROMO jersey, and well see who i saw. The cab arrives, and to my surprise, LOL, the guy had (i think, arabian music) very loud, i had a baaad feeling, Then he began talking in a strange language, and I thought to myself....this does not look good. After I picked up a word or two, he were on the road. I still have in my head that horrible music he was listsening to LOL... it was that type of music you heard on Indiana Jones and the temple of doom! lol, I am serious guys. Then the guys begins to ask me questions.. who i was with, if i was in dallas before, if i had friends, if i had the ticket with me. But i told him i had to go to the will call window! Wen we got close to the stadium, i told the arabian guy.. ILL GET OFF HERE... i gave him a 20 (didnt cared anymore lol) and just got the heck out of that cab!

FINALLY... the legendary Texas Stadium.. infront of me!

my whole exprience was the amazng!!! No to mention that i was offered like 800 dollars for my ticket, and the cab driver was acting werid and wanted me to sell him my ticket.

The game was amazing, I couldnt have asked for something better! The Colts went down, and I had one time I wont forget anytime soon!

I haven't been to a whole lot of games - 1 or 2 a year since 99. This one is the best one I have been to.

The second best one (alas) was the game in 03 against Arizona, where I guarantee you that we (the crowd) contributed to two safeties against AZ.:starspin

Didn't see the Jessica Simpson thing. But I was sitting in the section right below Jones' block. During the 4th quarter it was a blast - Emmitt was pumping us all up. It was great!
