It really depends on what you consider a pet cat. For me a pet cat is someone that nobody else is talking about that can be a contributor right away.

If you wanted me to pick the Cowboys 1st rounder right now I would pick by likeliness.
1. DE Nic Scourton, Texas A&M
2. DT Walter Nolen, Ole Miss
3. WR Emeka Egbuka, OSU
4. WR Tre Harris, Ole Miss
5. Heisman Trophy Winner RB Ashton Jeanty, Boise State, if he somehow falls to them in the 20's.

My late round pet cats
1. RB Ja'Quinden Jackson, Arkansas
2. DE J.J. Weaver, Kentucky
3. DT Sheldon Newton Boise State
4. Slot Johnathan Baldwin UNLV
5. S LaMiles Brooks Georgia Tech
Bonus DT J.R. Singleton Iowa State
I like Scourton and Walker alot. I think Scourton is the player right now we hope Kneeland becomes in a couple years

I also think if we keep losing, we could end up in Mason Graham territory

I agree. It has been 5 weeks since I posted these rankings. They will be in flux. I need to update and expand my rankings. Maybe in a few weeks.
Kaleb Johnson is one of the biggest risers.

Carson Beck may not even be a top 5 QB at this point. Also, Sanders is clearly a 1st round QB.

Beck frankly is not a first rd pick now
Sanders is
now how high is another matter. Depends on how this season plays out and to be blunt if his old man behaves.
He has a lot of baggage there and some teams will look elsewhere because of it

Beck has been a huge disappointment this season. His weapons did take a hit this past offseason, compared to other teams he doesn't have much.
He has all the arm talent in the world but his decision making has been putrid.

I still think teams will have him above Ewers and Dart. The tools are there, he just needs to put them all together.

QB rankings as of today
1. Cameron Ward, Miami
2. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado
3. Jalen Milroe, Alabama
4. * Garrett Nussmeier, LSU
5. Carson Beck, Georgia
6. Jackson Dart, Ole Miss
7. Quinn Ewers, Texas
8. * Drew Allar, Penn State
9. Will Howard, Ohio State
10. Kurtis Rourke, Indiana
11. * Miller Moss, USC
12. Riley Leonard, Notre Dame
13. Dillon Gabriel, Oregon
14. * Cade Klubnik, Clemson
15. Kyle McCord, Syracuse
16. Tyler Shough, Louisville
17. Diego Pavia, Vanderbilt
18. Seth Henigan, Memphis
19. Brady Cook, Missouri
20. * Conner Weigman, Texas A&M
21. Max Brosmer, Minnesota
22. Conner Bazelak, Bowling Green
23. Tommy Mellott, Montana State
24. Will Rogers, Washington
25. Zach Calzada, Incarnate Word

None of them look great. BUT I do like how much experience Ward has. and not in one system or place either
not many QBs come into the pros with more than one of those and he has three of each

Sanders has no baggage. He will not be the first player with a talkative or influential parent. If you're a GM and you evaluate the player factoring in his father being Deion, you deserve to lose your job immediately.

He is not that great a prospect to not consider how much trouble he could be.

1. He is a great prospect

2. What kind of trouble could he be? Does he have a history of getting in trouble? Are there any reports of him being a bad locker room guy or a headache to coaches?

I get it; you just do not want to think about it
