Not sure why people hate on Journey when the Escape tour made it OK for drop dead good looking women to go to rock concerts.

And this btw was taken from their official site,

"Artists—a group encompassing performers, composers and/or musicians—become eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first record. Besides demonstrating unquestionable musical excellence and talent, inductees will have had a significant impact on the development, evolution and preservation of rock & roll"

Now tell me again why Green Day and Joan Jett got in{among many others}.

lol. Ya, right for a lot of these inducties.....

I know a lot of people don't care and say it is his right to do so and that the rrhof is a joke.

But.... big journey fan here.
It will suck for me if steve doesn't show tonight.

I think ELO and Journey deserve to be in there.

I love Tupac but he does not belong in the rock in roll hall of fame.

If it is the Rap Hall of fame...sure.

If you even broaden it out to the Music Hall of Fame...sure.

The Rock n Roll hall of fame...no.

Pearl Jam:laugh:Debatable, some like boring, uninspired wuss rock but it just isn't my cup of tea. If you are going to put in any "Seattle" band put in Alice in Chains whom in my opinion were much better then PJ or that other worthless band that {helped} introduce Dave Grohl and Courtney Love to the world.

And still no Judas Priest.........

I thought I was the only one who felt like that. Pearl Jam is incredibly boring. AiC was 100 times better.

JP not being in is criminal.

As noted above this is a purely money-making endeavor.
They intentionally leave groups/artists out so they can use them later in thin years when they need draws.
No sense even getting offended as less than half the bands would qualify as "rock and roll".
Arguing with 30-40 year old women that Journey is not "classic rock" has beaten the life out of me.

Well... he showed up. Said a few words.

Dam... I really wanted them back together even if only for one night.

He is either very, very done with all this....
Or,...
He can't sing that well anymore...

As a big fan.... = disappointed!

It was great seeing Geddy Lee standing in for Chris Squire and playing with Yes. Guess I missed Pearl Jam, did they perform the usual boring, morose wuss rock?

Yeah, The rock and roll hof was a joke a long time ago. Pearl Jam, even 10 had a couple skip over songs for me...I guess they belong though. Black may be the best lap dance song ever, someone told me.
They have several songs that if I never heard again I wouldn't care, kinda like ac/dc. Kinda where I rank bands in my older years.
Alice in chains belongs, they have so many just great songs, and songs that never felt like they were just trying to finish an album

I'd put both Alice in Chains and Soundgarden above Pearl Jam.
