Kinnard and Salyer still being available hurts. They better hope Smith figures out how to play LT 1 day or the pick is going to look bad.
no one had those guys higher than tyler smith.
other teams wanted him as well.
i'd love to double dip and take salyer.
helluva player.

Good list. As far as I am concerned, I think we still need OL, TE, LB, DT, LB and CB in that order. Maybe TE not as much but it seems that there has been a lot of focus on it. I think with Schultz, McKeon and Sprinkle we are decent but could maybe improve the position here in the 4th.

On the OL, I guess it just comes down to whether you think Smith can be a T at the pro level within a year or two. If he is a G, then we still should look for a T. If we think he is the T of the future, then we should look for a G/C. Faalele and Kinnard will likely be gone when we pick in the 4th unless we move up. Zach Tom really seems to be a guy that could be the swiss army knife on the OL. Played T in college but many project inside to C. I think he makes a lot of sense. Jamaree Salyer also could be a guy that fits in multiple spots.

None of the TEs that are left really excite me too much. Kolar probably would be the one I would go with, and then Ferguson. The one wild card is James Mitchell who pretty much lost all of last year with an ACL, but is probably the biggest receiving threat left at the position.

I still have interest in Amare Barno... a bit of a project but has some serious athletic ability. Perrion Winfrey makes some sense as a pass rusher from the DT spot but won't be a big run stuffer. Not much excitement left at this position after the big three.

At LB I definitely like Brandon Smith except for the fact he seems lost at times. HE has the measureables and at this point he is worth a flyer. No one else really tickles my toes.

Tariq Woolen seems like someone that Dan Quinn would love to have. Long for a CB with freakish speed, he just seems like a good fit here. Joshua Williams and Zyon McCollom also seem like guys we would give a shot.

I think in this order is what I want over the next couple rounds:
1. Winfrey...I think he is the best DT left
2. Either Tom or Jamaree - OL flexibility and depth
3. Woolen
4. Brandon Smith...we can build a whole team full of Smiths.

We need another option at QB.

Or else face the prospect of the Jones's panicking after 4-5 games and trading multiple picks for Mayfield.

Never said that they were rated higher. I am saying the impact of a 1st round guard vs a 4th round guard could have little impact on the overall team. And I was saying this before the draft… https://cowboyszone.com/threads/are-we-over-thinking-guard.495541/#post-11831931

Also has nothing to do with Tyler Smith really. I would have the same opinion that we should have waited on guard if we took Kenyon Green or Zion

Nothing really too exciting in this draft. Howell is the best left.
