my choices for the 2007 hall of fame

No real problem with the list although I don't think a few of them are HOF worthy, but if this is the order in which you think they should be considered, Chuck Howley should be way higher on that list, so should Cliff Harris.

I didn't get the impression that he was ranking them, just listing them by position and numbering them to keep count.

no order...just trying to make it easier to look at the list and say oh 13 names, cool....

I mean to include Emmitt on my list...so that would make 22 Cowboys not 21...

The players i picked are past or current players. I was just stating who from the organization I feel deserves the HOF

I didnt include Deion Sanders or Charles Haley........but I think both deserve the HOF....I just don't know what helmet they will wear. I think Deion picks Dallas.....as for Haley, I think his head is with Dallas, but his heart is with the Niners.

The only problem with that list is that Larry Allen is still playing. I would replace him with John Niland.

In a few years you can add Larry and Emmitt to the list as they become eligible.

Thank you.......John Niland....I was trying to think of his name but Ralph Neely popped into my head........replace Neely with Niland on my list.

Actually in Baseball they pick the cap to wear, but in the Football HOF I think the teams the player played for during his career are simply listed...........as for Haley I do not disagree, although he won more rings with Dallas than he did with SF.

No Art Monk? take the cowboys glasses off and look what he did with who he had on that teams

Art Monk
224 games 940 recs 12721 yds 13.5 yds/rec 68 tds

Michael Irvin
159 games 750 recs 11904 yds 15.9 yds/rec 65 tds

Monk played in 65 more regular season games than Irvin, but scored only 3 more td's. The reason for that is that Monk was primarily a possession receiver, while Irvin was a gamebreaker. Imo Monk belongs in the HoF, but it certainly wouldn't be a travesty if Irvin got in first.

If you go by his career avg...Irvin would have finished the 1999 year with about 1000 yds receiving, about 60-65 receptions, and about 5 more TDs. Of course we cannot say for sure. Irvin finished his career 190 receptions, 817 yds, and 3 TDs less than Monk in 65 less games.....

now if you take my stats....he finishes with 171 games (53 less than Monk), 815 receptions (125 less than Monk), 12,736 yds (15 more than Monk), 70 TDs (2 more than Monk)

I don't think he deserves it.

if thurman gets in before Irvin that is a travesty.....since Irvin was vital in the two wins over those Bills in the SB....and then there was the forgetting the helmet against the skins.......BTW..in the last 3 SBs he played in, Thurman was mediocre at best.

Thurman was the best all-purpose back in the NFL from the late 80s through the mid 90s...and IMO, does deserve the HOF....but not before Irvin, Monk, etc.
