My Concern with this CD Lamb thing

but if the media and rumors get into the locker room, will Dak try and force the ball to CD? which is a bad thing. CD has had I believe 10 drops this year, with 8 coming in the two eagles games for some reason. forcing anything is always going to lead to bad results. Hope Dak continues tojust go to the open WR as opposed to forcing it. CD is still CD, he is demanding a lot of double teams, and it allows a lot of 1-1 for pickens. but now, teams are going to focus on pickens when he gets hot and CD will get his chances. let the defenses choose their poison.

Dak has never been a QB to force the ball to a receiver. In 2022 Ceedee was just open a lot. Historically, Dak has preferred to spread the ball. That’s how you get 2 barely 1000 yard receivers in 2019, and part of why Dez’s numbers started to drop after Dak replaced Romo

People quickly forget that one season that there were serious concerns on CeeDee's drops and if he could take it to the next level. I thought we were over this, but I guess not. Get your head in the game CeeDee, we need both you and Pickens at your best! And with that contract, we can't afford anything less.

I was watching some of the ex-players provide analysis on the Eagles game, and it cracks me up. One guy says CeeDee was doubled all game and allowed Pickens to go off. Another guy says CeeDee was not doubled all game long and Pickens is just the better receiver right now. Which is it? LOL

All I know is double or single, doesn't matter if you can't catch the ball.

It will be interesting to see if 13 gets doubled more and if Lamb can free himself up more. 13 is a bigger body and really demands that from teams, but this doesn't seem to be effective either. They can double both on Thursday if Spags schemes this way, but that will leave Ferg in the middle of the field all day

Sooner or later, someone is going to gameplan that Pickens is our playmaker and will put all efforts on stopping him. I hope CeeDee is ready for that game. And more important, I hope the coaches pick up on it quick enough and adjust.

If CD catches the ball there is no issue. The diva needs to catch the ball and drop the soap opera drama.

Dak will force it to CD. He did it vs the Eagles. One pass got picked off when he forced it to CD who was double covered. And the other one should have been picked off when he forced it to Ceedee blanket covered.

Honestly I'm not super worried about Lamb. Does he need to play better? Absolutely, but even in a down year he's still putting up very strong numbers.

His drop % this year is around 15% plus or minus a point depending on the source you get it from, but his career drop % is closer to 7-8%. Hes always been a bit of a high risk player for drops, but this is certainly an outlier for him and should revert back to his career norm. Probably more a mental issue for him at this point than anything else. Pretty easy to drop a couple passes and all of a sudden you're more worried about every detail of your hand placement than just catching the ball and getting up field.

I would bet Lamb has some pretty strong games down the stretch as Pickens is going to get a lot more attention his way. Hes pretty far down my list of concerns.

CD has dropped 2 touchdowns in the past 2 games. This past game he easily could have had an additional 3 catches, 40 yards and a TD. There would be no complaints if he got 7 catches, 100 yards, a TD and a win.

My concern before this game was that maybe Lamb and Pick are so cool that he's like Bro you SHINE so you get your new contract, then next season we both shine or I shine etc something along those lines

Well, having more receiving threats takes snaps away, but I see no issue. I'm sure it's being blown out of proportion. Minus the drops. But I expect Lamb to respond positively vs. KC.
