I mean, Pickens is playing better and is the hot hand of the 2 right now. Feed the hot hand til they begin to double.

Then go back to the other but like the OP said, let the defense be in that pick your poison type position to defend knowing that either is fully capable of producing.

Dak has never been a QB to force the ball to a receiver. In 2022 Ceedee was just open a lot. Historically, Dak has preferred to spread the ball. That’s how you get 2 barely 1000 yard receivers in 2019, and part of why Dez’s numbers started to drop after Dak replaced Romo

IMO.
Dez's numbers dropped cause Romo and Dez had their connection down to a pat and Romo could put that ball in the right spot for contested catches.
Dak was accurate, but IMO he wasn't precise with ball placement quite yet, and for Dez he was covered but could outjump/out-fight most corners for the ball.
To me Dez wasn't a good route runner, his bread and butter with Romo was just having a huge catch radius.

I agree with you. Except Turpin. I prefer him as a return guy only. You wanna give him a half dozen snaps? Fine. 5 as a decoy and maybe one gadget play. Other than that, I'm not interested. ** I know you were just using him as an example and I agree with your thoughts. Just not Turpin for me.

What I hate about this is CeeDee is a good man very talented and accommodating we will all agree. Just let him fight through it it is up to him. It's probably something new in his experience in life. To be the second best. Might be hard to take

he has to fight the deamons in his own head....and I think he knows it too.

Dak also doesn't like being yelled at by a prima donna wr who has catchable balls drop. So others get a chance. CD is pressing very hard and as talented as he is it is doing him no good. I saw Ohtani go into the batting cage between innings in the friggin World Series and take cuts because he was hitting poorly in a game. GP is a compliment to CD and when they both get it on the same page imagine the score total going up tremendously. Dak has in past years forced it to CD. Now with GP he doesn't have to. He needs to relax and enjoy football 101 and get back to being CD Lamb.

Honestly I'm not super worried about Lamb. Does he need to play better? Absolutely, but even in a down year he's still putting up very strong numbers.

His drop % this year is around 15% plus or minus a point depending on the source you get it from, but his career drop % is closer to 7-8%. Hes always been a bit of a high risk player for drops, but this is certainly an outlier for him and should revert back to his career norm. Probably more a mental issue for him at this point than anything else. Pretty easy to drop a couple passes and all of a sudden you're more worried about every detail of your hand placement than just catching the ball and getting up field.

I would bet Lamb has some pretty strong games down the stretch as Pickens is going to get a lot more attention his way. Hes pretty far down my list of concerns.

People quickly forget that one season that there were serious concerns on CeeDee's drops and if he could take it to the next level. I thought we were over this, but I guess not. Get your head in the game CeeDee, we need both you and Pickens at your best! And with that contract, we can't afford anything less.

I was watching some of the ex-players provide analysis on the Eagles game, and it cracks me up. One guy says CeeDee was doubled all game and allowed Pickens to go off. Another guy says CeeDee was not doubled all game long and Pickens is just the better receiver right now. Which is it? LOL

All I know is double or single, doesn't matter if you can't catch the ball.

Not sure what that other fella was seeing, every time Pickens was targeted I seen double coverage...

Sooner or later, someone is going to gameplan that Pickens is our playmaker and will put all efforts on stopping him. I hope CeeDee is ready for that game. And more important, I hope the coaches pick up on it quick enough and adjust.
