Bottom line

I actually come away more positive about the Cowboys than negative. The biggest reason is that the players Dallas needs to evaluate gave them meaningful information.

I didn't feel good about Barham tonight. I had hoped that he'd show that he should be out there on early downs as a run stopper, but he swam a little tonight.

Team playing with much more energy than we seen from past teams in the PS.
This hopefully and should carry over into the season.

Seems they believe they have a very good team. And if that translates into early wins. It build confidence upon that going forward.

It was mentioned that Parker was using the base line defensive play calls (Very vanilla/basic). Over the course of 3 PS games I would give Barham an 8/10.

Add Keegan as stock up....the fact he came in and played some center tonight...didn't look out of place is a big plus in my book. I think he made the cut tonight because of his versatility....didn't know that was part of his game. He looks like a natural center.

I thought he was good against the run. He had two blocks in the back that made him look foolish but that’s not going to slide most of the time. The second play of the game he would have had the running back for a loss. I think the instincts were good most of the time.

Good call. I probably should have singled him out. He looked the part of a starter tonight.

Barham was feeling himself during the week. Hopefully, tonight makes him work harder. He wasn’t bad at all but the talent level he was playing against are mostly future Home Depot employees.

qB2 got a bit fuzzier for me, no idea who wins it now.

They were gashing us in the run game when he was in there. Not saying that's all on him, but he wasn't doing much to stop it. Maybe he should have drew at least one flag, but he didn't get it so I can't count that as a success.

I think this is what I’m most excited about. We had a good, drama free offseason and we’re playing these games like we want to win them. In the past it seemed we just tried not to get hurt. These last 3 games we seemed to want to win. I would argue we seemed to want to win more these last games than some regular season games under McCarthy in ‘24. That’s just MHO but I’m excited about the team displaying a whole different vibe and energy. More positive than last PSs, IMHO
