Today we resign Flo to a long term deal, Hamlin is franchised and Barber is tendered and we allow Canty to test the FA waters.

I hate to see Canty go, but I think we ask him to give us an opportunity to match and I hope we do as long as it's not crazy money.

I have to think that we'll at least tender Canty. He's a RFA. We won't just ignore that.

He'll get tendered, that's for sure. I doubt a first and third, but tendered nonetheless.

There's no way we don't tender Canty at least a first round pick; cost to us will be around $2.10M. Canty showed in 07 he is becoming the player we hoped for & now certainly isn't the time to allow him to move on.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if we franchise Hamlin and then work out a long term contract with him. Frankly I'm surprised this whole issue hasn't been resolved already -- unless he's asking for extraordinary monies.

Do agree we will tender MBIII at the highest level -- first rounder & 3rd rounder -- for about $2.9M.

It also sounds to me like we will allow Adams to test the market while letting him know we want to re-sign him to a 5(?) year contract that is cap friendly. There are however a lot of teams out there who might think they are close and have a lot more cap money then we do. So who knows. Have been reading in last 1-2 days that if we don't re-sign Adams that it will be McQuistan who replaces him. That flies in the fact of many of us who got the impression during last year's TC that Doug Free could be Adams successor. McQ now entering his 3rd season with lot more playing time (in preseason games) but has also been active the entire 07 season contributing mostly in ST but has been on the OL a few times during the season. If McQ ends up winning LT job this year (unless Colombo or even Davis get the nod) , then Free probably will be active this season as the primary OT backup with him possibly being groomed to start in 09 season. Must admit I'd prefer that McQ or better yet Free wins LT job if we don't re-sign Adams and that Colombo and Davis remain at their current OL positions.

I hate that once your draft picks turn the corner, its time to pay up or see them go.

They sure don't, that's the reason they turn the corner.

Spray generous amounts of B-12 chemtool on and it should start right up. If that don't work, sell it to Nors.

If we do not put a first round tender on Canty, he will be a Miami Dolphin next year.

I don't have a crystal ball, or a magic 8 ball, but I just signed all our free agents and stayed under the cap on Madden. :D

Well the Hamlin franchise tag is not wrong as that happened. So anyone who had that happening today was right. The rest of the stuff I've seen...yeah, probably not going to happen today.

Well with the way my crystal ball was working this year, I'm glad I'm batting .333 right now. Still got 4 hours for the Barber tender and the flo signing. :D
