Aside from the 2010 debacle, Tony Romo has never had a losing season

2006: 6-4
2007: 13-3
2008: 8-5(pinky)
2009: 11-5
2010: 1-4
2011: 8-8
2012: 8-8
2013: 8-7
2014: 12-4
2015: 3-1

As long as number 9 is there, we have a fighting shot. Just wanted to spread some positivity here.

If he had one more loss in 2013, I would call him Dave Campo.

He has never played in a meaningless game. Every time Tony has started for the Cowboys, they have been either in contention for the playoffs or in the playoffs.

He was 1-5 in 2010 wasn't he? I know that has nothing to do with the point, just pointing it out. I agree with you here.

2010... what a weird year. We lost what? 7-8 games by a touchdown or less, which a good chunk of those being by a field goal. We were really only out of two games, the two games after Romo got hurt leading up to Wade's firing. I mean, that was just a crazy year.

They were awful. They lost at home to some ridiculously bad football teams. Wade's defense got torched, and the players basically ignored him.

And this was coming off of 13-3.

Yeah. It was a ridiculous.

Also... this has nothing to do with your point... but we were coming off 11-5. 13-3 was 2007. *sigh*... 2007.

Bottom line...
When he's played the majority of the games, the Cowboys have never had a losing season.

fwiw though... for better or worse, QBs should not be assigned team records
As we say, this isn't tennis.

It's a good point. Go look at winning records for QB's. He is right up near the top. Even though wins/losses are not all on the QB.

We hear you.

I'm not a Romo hater and unfortunately..

It does seem we have little chance without him.

But when you post stuff like this..

It also reminds me of Danny White. And he accomplished more playoff wins in his first year as a starter than Romo in his whole career practically.

And Romo will never equal White's win record in the playoffs if he plays another 5 years.

And White is not even mentioned amongst the legendary QBs for the franchise.

Neither will Romo when it is all said and done.

Romo's shot ended with 2014.

Again there he couldn't elevate his game to win the most important game in his career.

So wins are great but what we need is an elite QB who can meet the challenge. One that can have multi-faceted game to have to deal with.

Romo doesn't run anymore..he doesn't throw deep anymore..

He throws to Witten for 4 yards to Dez on 10 yd slants and always holds the ball too long looking for a big play downfield and gets sacked or hit.

That does not beat many teams who know how to defense him.

Personally I like him. But I have seen enough to know he is not what Jerrah hopes he is.

We have to stop fooling ourselves and plan for the next QB.

Technically, though the 5th loss he left with a lead and the team driving.

My favorite stat is that Tony Romo has the highest quarterback rating in NFL history in the 4th quarter.

Yet everybody that hates the Cowboys says he needs to be gone because he's a choker
