ROUND 1
Shane Ray DE Missouri

Dropped because of off the field issues. Cowboys would be a great place for him to land because of the support system Jerry has in place for his players.

ROUND 2
Bryce Petty QB Baylor

Romo Cant play forever.

ROUND 3
Josh Shaw CB USC

Perfect fit for Dallas' scheme because he played it in college.

ROUND 4
Tyeler Davison DT Fresno State

Monster of a man with attitude. 8.5 sacks from the NT.

ROUND 5
Chaz Green OT Florida

Swing tackle

ROUND 7
Ladarius Gunter CB Miami

Plays the ball

ROUND 7
Gabe Martin LB Bowling Green

Another Lber to add to the stable for TC

SIKE.
ROUND 2
Duke Johnson RB Miami

One of the most productive RBs in this draft

That was great. I read the whole thing and was thinking, "Man, I love this draft but get Petty out of there," and then I came to SIKE and I couldn't be more pleased with the RB you chose. I really like it. A few of my thoughts:

I like going with a player of Ray's caliber in the 1st. We all know that this draft is stacked with RB or CB, but the depth comes in the quality players in rounds 2-4. There are really only a few great players in this draft. Many of them will be long gone by 27, but there are a few of them who may fall due to character/injury issues. I think our best bet to get a truly great player is to take a gamble on one of them if they fall. That's why I love the Ray pick. Personally, I think Gregory has the potential to be a great RDE or even a pass rushing 4-3 SLB a la Von Miller. I think Ray can be an elite SDE though. If we keep Hardy beyond this year, then I love the Ray move. But if we don't plan on keeping him, I think you take the RDE all day. A few other elite talents who may be around at 27 who I'd like are WR Green-Beckham, CB Peters, RB Gurley (seemed like possibilities a month ago but have been shooting up boards as of late).

I love Duke Johnson. Outside of Gurley and maybe Gordon, I'd go with Johnson over anyone else. Not sure if we'll take him though since I haven't heard that we've been interested in him.

I like Josh Shaw. I did a mock earlier today and took him. I read some reports that he can be a FS too. He's one of the fastest CBs in the draft too.

Davison is intriguing but most of the mocks I've seen had him going late in the draft. I don't think I've seen him as high as a 4th. Another late round 1-tech I'd like id Darius Philon. I've seen his name in the 7th too.

I like the Ladarius Gunter pick. He's a big CB and great value late in the draft. He's a sleeper. I wouldn't mind getting a FS earlier in the draft and waiting until later to get Gunter. Unlike most people, I'd prefer DT and DE in at least the first 3-4 rounds. I see that you do too. I think those are more important than CB and RB.

I like it. All hinges on Ray's ability to be on the field, though.
