At a 4 rd mock, pre-Sr Bowl, pre-combine of course....if this happened, I'd personally be ecstatic:

#1. Tennessee trades out, shakes it up, 49ers REALLY want Goff as Kaep insurance
#2. Cle now forced to take 2nd choice, Wentz....Tunsil sliding....
#3. SD still in love with Bosa
#4. Chicago DESPERATELY needs a stud LT, they take Tunsil here, we get their #11 and #72

Our picks:

1st #11 Vernon Hargreaves CB UF
We roll into the season with our secondary looking like this:
CB O Scan
CB Hargreaves
CB Claiborne (back cheap)
SS Church
FS B Jones
Wilcox depth

2nd #34 Josh Doctson WR TCU
Love his smooth fluid routes and hands....dare I say AJ Green lite??

3rd #67 Jarran Reed DT Bama Very well may develop into the better run stuffer than teammate A'Shawn...a steal here

3rd # 72 Alex Collins RB Ark
To me, the 2nd best runner in the draft behind Zeke...better than Henry or Booker IMO and Jerrah loves his Hogs...Run DMC and Collins, nice Hog backfield

4th #98 Christian Hackenberg QB P St
To me, Hackenberg has all the tools and prototypical size...just needs a mentor and time to develop. The perfect QB prospect to sit behind Tony for 3 years and learn.

Feel free to complement or critique....

One, you need more than a 3rd round pick from Chicago to move from 4 to 11. I know the value chart isn't the end all be all but it gives you a rough ballpark. 4th pick is worth 1800 points, 11 is worth 1250 points. The 72nd pick is only worth 230 points so you are way short on trade value there. More likely, the Bears would need to give up 11 and 43 to move up to 4.

I think Hackenberg is going to go higher than people think, especially if Houston has their eye on him. 3rd or maybe even 2nd round.

Like Reed. Like Collins.

I would so quickly submit the slip for Tunsil that there would be a rush of air behind me.

would want way more then 1st and 3rd to trade back from the 4th overall pick to out of the top 10. Also Reed, Collins, and Hackenberg may not make it out of 2nd round.

I love Tunsil too, he's probably the best player in the entire draft but Hargreaves definitely fill the bigger need...

For me, the prospect of a truely dominant offensive for the next 8 seasons and the BPA would over ride other considerations that could be presented.

Ok well then even better....

#11 Hargreaves
#34 Kentrell Brothers
#43 Josh Doctson
#67 Jarran Reed
Trade back up into late 3rd to grab Alex Collins around #75
Take the La Tech QB prospect in the late 4th/early 5th

Your first attempt?

Make it your last. ;) Just kidding.

Actually, your mock isn't bad. I wouldn't take a receiver in the second. And I think Dallas can get more out of Chicago, particularly if they really, really like Tunsil. I like Collins, but I don't think the Hackman will be available in the fourth round.

If Goff and Wentz are gone, do we bypass Lynch? Seems like he's sinking in the draft, but I don't think he gets out of the top 15.
Still, I'm okay if we pass on him and take a stalwart defensive player.

Oh, and it's compliment not complement.

With an "i" means to heap praise upon someone or something. With an "e" means something that works in cooperation with something else or completes something else. :)

Fwiw, it would cost SF at least their second rounder and a first rounder next year to move up to #1 and I don't see the 49ers doing that. I'm not even convinced that they would take Goff if he fell to #7, since Chip seems inclined to try Kaepernick.

If you want someone to trade up ahead of us so we don't take a QB, #3 with San Diego is the spot. That pick could be had for their #2 and #3, but even then I just don't see it.

If I trade that far back for Tunsil, I want next years 1st along with their 2nd this year. That is the price you pay for getting a guy who many believe is Tyron Smith 2.0

You'll never get that for 7 spots in the draft. If Chicago was trying to get from the late teens to say 4, sure. But first round, second round this year and maybe another pick like 4th or 5th round is probably a fair deal.
