my first car

I would rather drive this! :laugh2:

1996 Mazda MPV...it was forest green with a tan cloth interior. Ugly as sin, drank gas like water, was loud, and after about 6 months the transmission broke and it wouldn't go in reverse -- I had to pull through every parking space at school or parallel park it on the street.

After I donated it to the Purple Heart foundation, I got one of these:

2002 Nissan Sentra...mine had fog lights, alloy wheels and a spoiler. Cool little car. My brother still drives it to this day. If he ever decides to get rid of it, I think I'm going to buy it off him for a beater. It needs some work...he hasn't taken good care of it.

Those old Toys were damn good trucks. From 82-89, you couldn't go wrong. Those 22R 4 cylinders are probably still running strong.

Is that a screenshot from Back to the Future?

No one's first "car" was a Jeep?

yeah, that is from Back to the Future. My truck had nearly 200k miles and the engine was still going strong. The transmission went out on it so I traded it in. I wanted to keep it but I know it would be sitting in my garage collecting dust if I had.

79 Trans Am. Got the keys on my 16th birthday. Still have it today.

1984 Chevy S10 Blazer. Mine was two-toned blue and grey. Picked the colors because of the Cowboys. This was my dad's truck for hauling stuff, but he let me pick the colors since it was my car during the week (or whenever he didn't need it).

Then, I bought this for $4000... 1978 Porsche 924. Slowest car on Earth. Constantly broken. I sold it a year later for $3500.

That looks like the family truckster from vacation with aunt Edna on the roof.
:laugh2: well that's not the best picture...i put ketchup on my roommate's wiper blades, so that was his revenge.

This was what my first looked like without the blue strips on the hood.

Lost her when left the windows open on accident during a hurricane in early 90's

OMG! I was about to post my '86 Plymouth Horizon, same car!
What's funny is I knew they were the same car, but I would compare my Dodge to the Plymouth all the time and then go, "Mine looks better" lol

I remember I valeted the Dodge one time and the expression on the valet person cracked me up. I just said, "You don't know how to drive stick?"

:D Stick shift is a great way to deter car theft these days I hear.

I thank you for the picture assist btw; my old 47 International Harvester pick up thanks you as well. It had a double clutch stick shift!

Mine was exactly this color except I had bigger tires and white spoke rims.

The guy who bought it from me was the Dad of one of my teachers. He really put a lot of money into it. When he died she told me she wanted to give it back to me, but didn't know how to find me so she sold it. I was sick. I wouldn't have taken it for free, but she swears her Dad wanted me to have it back.

Edit...

Tires about that size. Mine was the pickup style at the top, not the SUV style as below.

Not mine. Mine was black with and orange firebird on the hood. bought it for $5,000 with 80,000 miles. Sold it for $5,000 after high school when it had 110,000 miles. My father still has a cherry red 1978 Pontiac Trans Am with a 454

Mine was a '66 Candyapple red Mustang in good condition. Few months later, I ran into the back of a greyhound bus, but dad decided to fix it to mint condition. She was a very sharp car after the repairs. Three weeks later it was stolen from where I worked on Halloween, never heard from her since :(

1968 Pontiac Firebird

I have said it a hundred times and probably will say it a hundred more but I could kick myself in the arse for selling that car when I left to join the Army.

A black 1991 BMW 325i. I miss that car.

Ugh, why? BMWs were so freaking ugly back then. They started to look a little better around 1995 or so, but I didn't get a BMW until 2005. They were just plain ugly prior to the style change in the mid 90s.

It was this model, but in Orient Blue. It was my wife's car after we got together. She had a BMW X5 prior to that. It was nice looking too.
