@TB - W - 1-0
I am not sold on their offense. I think they will still be quite good defensively though. If this were a home game, I would pick us by 2 TDs. However, being a road game, I see us winning by 6-10 pts.

NY Giants - W - 2-0
These games always seem to go down to the wire. Because we are at home, in our first regular season game in the new stadium, and because of how we closed out Texas Stadium, I see us winning. I see us playing one heckuva ballgame.

Carolina - W - 3-0
Carolina is a tough team. They have one heckuva running game. Steve Smith is a stud. Their defense is pretty damn good. All that being said, I see us winning a very tough game.

@Denver - W - 4-0
Before the debacle in Denver happened, I figured this game to be a loss. But now with Cutler gone, Marshall refusing to join the team, and the complete cluster that the organization has become this season, I see us winning. Of course, the altitude will not be good to us, well except our kickers, but we should win this game by at least 2 scores.

@K.C - W - 5-0
The Chiefs are one of the worst teams in the NFL...they no longer have the same home field advantage they used to. I see us completely owning this game.

Atlanta - L - 5-1
Our first loss of the season. In a close game, we go down.

Seattle - W - 6-1
We bounce back from a bitter loss to Atlanta with a win vs the Hawks.

@Philly - L - 6-2
We lose this one. Philly proves to be too much for us on this day.

@GB - W - 7-2
We win a close game. The Cheesehead are in full force. Unfortunately we have to live through a couple of Lambeau Leaps, but in the end, it matters not, as we escape the Not So Frozen Tundra with a W.

Washington - W - 8-2
This will be no cake walk. Although Jason Campbell isn't all that great, the Skins seem to give us fits. Their defense seems to always step up against us. They seem to get some remarkable special teams play. Santana Moss owns our secondary. Chris Cooley is a pain in the butt. With all that being said. We win by a touchdown.

Oakland W - 9-2
Oakland sucks, but for some reason, they still seem to play us well. They do have a nice group of young RBs. If we can shut down their running game, we should win this one going away. Also, this is Turkey Day and Romo tends to go off on this day.

@NY - L - 9-3
We lose this game by 1 score. We put forth a much better effort than we did last year.

San Diego W - 10-3
I am not sure which San Diego team we will run into and how healthy they will be. I see us winning this game, but it will not be easy. They have a potent offense and a stout defense. Sproles is killer as a KR. In the end we win the game, but it won't be easier on our hearts.

@N.O - L - 10-4
For some reason, we just have trouble with N.O. They have our number. So this is a loss.

@Washington - L - 10-5
This is our first back-to-back losses of the season. Washington once again has our number in FedEx.

Philly - W - 11-5
Oh sweet irony, indeed. We get the Eagles yet again to end the season. This time we are the home team. Once again playoff implications are the order of the day. This time we show up for the game. Not only do we win, but we win by at least 2 scores.

BTW, the only two games that really concern me......at least now that I have seen the way other teams have been shaping up so far, are the games at Philly and at NO. I know I picked us to go 11-5, however, I would not be surprised if we were able to go 14-2.

Real nice post. I agree with most of your views on the games. Especially NO. Can't remember the last time we beat them.

Payton exposed Zimmer's defense 4 years ago and suddenly they have our number? I don't buy that at all.

I'll take a crack at this. But here's my problem and I know I've said this before. When I view the team as a legit SB contender, a team that shouldn't lose to anyone, I just can't affix an L to any game. Now I know they will some, but I just mark off the certain W's as I see them and mark the possible losses.

@tampa bay W
No contest. This will resemble Cleveland last year.
Ny Giants W Not nearly as good a team as many believe. They win 10 games at best and this aint one of them.
Carolina W Don't think we've lost to them since the 2003 Play-offs. And we play them every year.
@Denver W Denver's a 2 win team this year.
@K.C W KC is a 5 win team. We're lucky to have drawn them and Denver on the road and early when we weather won't factor in.
Atanta W Some see this as a tough game. I don't. Their defense sucks and they're taking a few steps back this year to 8-8.
Seattle ? I like Seattle this year. Don't think they will beat us at home but it's a tough enough game to put in the possible loss column.
@Philly ? Like The Giants, waaaaay overrated and I like us to win this, but I have to put this in the maybe column.
@green Bay W Another team I like, but we have their number.
Deadskins W please....get a real squad.
Oakland W They can't hang with us.
@NY ? Another game I feel good about. Romo's played well there but you have to put this in the undecided column.
San Diego ? I believe his is the SB preview and will come down to who has the ball last.
@N.O.? This is the one game I see as a most likely loss for so many reasons. Emotional let down after the wild SD game and perhaps having all but clinched the #1 seed. And we just never beat this team.
@deadskins W Nothing but 20,000 Cowboys fans let in the stands for the 4th Q.
Philly ? I Don't think we need this game. Starters will make a quick exit.

So I have 11 wins and 5 possible losses. Smells like 12-14 wins depending on the breaks/injuries and how hard we get pushed late for that #1 seed.

Arrowhead hasn't been loud for 4 or 5 years, unless you count the boos. Even when they went 9-7 and made the playoffs a few years ago it was still pretty tame. They have trouble selling out the games (Dallas is an exeption). The Cowboys fans will be out in large numbers.

Man I don't know. I look at the first 7 games and I have a hard time imagining us NOT going 7-0. I think we are extremely lucky to play road games AT KC and AT Denver early in the year. Get our confidence really going. Playing at home against Atlanta is a huge advantage. They are really tough at home.

I really do think we start off 7-0. I'm giving us 14-2 this year. I love the maturation of Tony Romo and our D will be more than enough. I think we benefit from coming off with such a hot start and gaining some confidence. We lose AT Philly, and AT NO. Those are the only ones I could see us losing. This is all pending if we stay healthy of course. We sweep the G-men and Commanders. They don't do much for me. I just don't see it.

Or...just maybe...the other team gets paid too.

I'd also say the 2-14 Rams shouldn't count since Bradley was the QB. he shouldn't have been on the team.

Playing teams in our division is not the same. That happens to every team in every division at times.

I think my point is this. Your assertion we ALWAYS play lame team and ignore them is not really the case. That is a fan comment. The other team gets paid. And while there are teams that are 2-14, they still have paid professionals and teams are not that far apart.

While this team may lose to KC, it will not be because of some notion that we ALWAYS take soneone for granted and let them sneak up on us.

Or the dreaded trap game.

@TB - W - 1-0
This game shouldn't even be close.

NY Giants - L - 1-1
We didn't show up for our last game and I fear we do the same for our first.

Carolina - W - 2-1
Romo on Monday night againist Carolina, easy win.

@Denver - W - 3-1
I think everyone in Denver will want out of their contracts by this game.

KC - W - 4-1
Another solid victory againist a weak team.

Atlanta - W - 5-1
I like us at home. If we can hold their running game down this should be easy.

Seattle - W - 6-1
We could get caught looking ahead to philly but I think we win it anyways.

@Philly - W - 7-1
I think if we played them earlier in the season we might have loss but I think McNabb will have had a meltdown by now with all the Vick talk.

@GB - L - 7-2
I think we lose a close game here.

Washington - W - 8-2
Washington always plays us better than they are but I don't think they'll have enough this time.

Oakland W - 9-2
Another easy victory againist the AFC west.

@NY - W - 10-2
Revenge for our first loss.

San Diego L - 10-3
After a victory in NY we have a huge letdown in San Diego.

@N.O - L - 10-4
Another tough loss. Ramblings of our december collpase in full swing.

@Washington - W - 11-4
Washingtons super bowl game. We squeak out with a win.

Philly - W - 12-4
I think we'll be playing for the number one seed in this game and if so we win. If were already locked in we lose with a majority of our starters resting.

Personally, I think he showed you the proof you were asking for and then you changed the parameters of the discussion. You wanted to blast him for making a blanket statement and when he backed up his statement with numbers you became very literal much like the "Roy williams can't cover anyone" argument. Obviously we don't lose every game to someone with a losing record but it happens enuff to be a disturbing trend. This teams mental toughness has been called into question by some very educated people both in the professional world and on this board. So when someone says "we tend to not show up against teams with losing records" please understand that it's not meant in a strictly literal sense.

No way we lost to TB or KC.

Ditto. Let's put it this way. If we lose to TB or KC, much less to both, we're in for a LONG season. Losing to TB on opening weekend would set a terrible tone for the whole season IMO. It just ain't gonna happen.

For a different perspective (that no one asked for haha).

@Tampa Bay - L Tampa isn't as bad as people seem to think.
NY Giants - W
Carolina - L
@Denver -W
@K.C -W
Atanta - L I don't think Atlanta's/Ryan's success last year was a fluke.
Seattle - W Why does it seem that Washington always plays Seattle away and Dallas gets them at home?
@Philly - W
@Green Bay - L. Not sure why everyone is so confident based upon history. Green Bay will be good this year. Rodgers is for real.
Commanders - L. Split with the Skins, each losing at home.
Oakland - W
@NY - L
San Diego - L. SD will be playing for home field advantage in the AFC by this point.
@N.O - W
@Commanders - W
Philly - L. Taking both games from Philly is asking too much.

8-8.

Ya, a dillusional one.

I can only assume you have Kitna starting all 16 games for us! Or was it Cambell after Jerry trades Romo to the Skins.

T.B, Carolina and Atlanta all L's. Maybe one L out of those games. The Skins aren't getting a split with us this year, give it up. You team's completely outclassed.

I totally agree. But I can see it happening....there Defense looks fast, and our offense with the exception of Felix is slow. Plus it's at noon and going to be steamy. Hopefully we can silence the stupid cannons on the ship and bring home a W.

The Bucs defense is not the MOnte Kiffen defense. It is the Jim Bates version of an outdated defense that has been used by GB and Denver the past few years and has been abused.

Remember what Romo did with no pressure against GB last year. Well, the Bucs talent is worse than Green Bays and it is the same system. The Cowboys will not only beat the Bucs but will beat them so bad that it will probalby be the only sellout of the year. You guys will impose blackouts for the Tampa area for the rest of the season.

If we lose to Tampa Bay and Kansas City, we're not winning 10 games. In fact, we would be lucky to win 7 games.

There is no excuse to lose to them, pending injuries.

Tampa Bay - W Game will be a little closer than most would like through the first three quarters, but Dallas will pull away at the end for a comfortable victory

NY Giants - L - I know, not a popular pick, but they lost to the skins during the Triplets retirement and they lost to Baltimore to shut down Texas Stadium. This team seams to get caught up in the hype sometimes. I hope that I am wrong and people can ridicule me for picking this.

Carolina -W
Dallas has had their number for years now. I expect a close game.

@Denver -W
This team could be fully demoralized by the time Dallas comes to town. Major butt whoopin.

@K.C -W
Back to back butt whoopins

Atlanta - W
Atlanta will be a great team this year, but I think Dallas will still have a chip on their shoulders from the Giants game.

Seattle - W
Should be a good game, but I don't know if Hasselback is still in the line-up.

@Philly - L
Michael Vick should be in full swing by this time, so they should pull out a lot of Razzle Dazzle.

@Green Bay - W
They have played the Pack well over the last few years

Deadskins - W
Garrett proves that he learned his lesson by killing the Skins with Felix Jones. In a surprise, Dallas wins handily.

Oakland - W
Thanksgiving Day against another sorry team.

@NY - W
Hard Fought Victory to avenge a humbling defeat earlier in the season

San Diego - W
Big time shootout with Dallas pulling it out.

@N.O - L
Drew Brees shreds the Defense and the Offense can't keep up.

@Commanders - L
Hard fought game, but the Commanders win going away to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Philly W - With the Division on the line for both teams, two straight double digit losses and the memory of being punked last season still on their minds after a week of badgering by the media, Dallas finally rises up to the occasion and pulls out a hard fought, low scoring affair.

12-4
