Is the mountain too high to climb?

I agree Washington doesn't scare me at all sure much respect for getting to the NFC championship game but they had a lot of help and a lot of luck and you're right they nearly lost to us twice with a backup quarterback it's a backup team I mean literally almost the whole team in the second game was backups and they literally had to use Marcus Mariota just to win and everybody's giving a little bit too much credit to Jayden Daniels I mean he deserves respect what he did was impressive for a rookie but I saw the same things with Prescott when he was a rookie not that big a deal but yes they should be respected but not scary at all no way I'd be worried about this division..

If you add to it the eagles are not going to be the same team next year...

they've already let go of two of their corners, I mean they're going to have to make some cuts ,losing coaches, in my opinion they overpaid the running back.. I mean yes he deserved a big contract but $20 million for a running back?! I mean I know Saquon Barkley was great last year, but what if the same thing happens to him that happened to Christian McCaffrey they gave him 19,000,000 per for two years that was 38 million, he got injured and even in his year he was healthy they didn't win the Super bowl..
I mean there's a risk being taken by the eagles so they may not repeat winning the division so with luck maybe the Cowboys once again win the division and maybe the other teams have the injury problems maybe the other teams have the bad luck it happens every year is very different I'm not saying the Cowboys are gonna be successful but injuries really sidetrack the Cowboys more than anything last year...
Bradberry didn’t play last season. Slay might be re-signed for all you know. The Commanders are going to take steps to improve their roster. They’ll likely be more aggressive than the Cowboys. Daniels is better than Prescott and Hurts. They’re going to take advantage of a great QB on a rookie deal to get to a Super Bowl. Perhaps the Cowboys aren’t scared of the Commanders. I’ll bet the Eagles are.

You do realize the team created $36.7 million of cap room by restructuring Dak's deal and by the time they have to repay the dead money on it, the cap will have increased by at least 40 million anyways?

The Cowboys are not crippled by any contract. The Jones Boys only want you to think that way as a built-in excuse to not be actively improving the team. They are the ones that don't want to spend money. They'd rather spend free agency on their yacht.
Future increases in the salary cap don't change the fact that the dead money will restrict Dallas's ability to sign and retain free agents.

I really can't stand this kind of funny money thought process concerning the cap. Yes there are ways to kick cans down the road. But the fact is, the literal fact is, the cap prevents teams from keeping players and signing players every year.

You cannot say contracts like Dak, Jaylon Smith, Zeke don't hurt a team from being able to make itself better. Pushing a ton of money down the line has its uses. I'd argue it makes a lot of sense when your team is in a window to contend, seriously, for a Super Bowl. We're not in that window. Pushing money down the line might help us get a win or 2, but real effect is handcuffing ourselves when we have a solid base to try and win with.

And in my opinion the 90 million Dak years is not that window. If we had Daniels on his rookie deal like Washington? Sure let's kick it all down the road and use the next 3 years to try and win it all
