Wow great photos, thank you!

I had thought when the players come out of the tunnel, they would have built in smoke coming out or do some type of light show. The fire thing is a little over done. Hopefully i can make it this weekend to the Niners game.

The fire thing was interesting... they blew off those flashpots and after then went off you could clearly see a ball of superheated air rising up to... the video screen. Don't know how that's going to work out, longterm...

I can hardly wait for Sept. 28th.

That's when I make my debut at the new stadium!

They had an interview with Witten and he had a piece of fuzz stuck to his chin. On a regular monitor, nobody would have noticed but up there that piece of fuzz is the size of a city bus.

:laugh2: I actually got a picture of that! And you are right, that fuzz looked HUGE on that screen.

Oh, and about the tunnel they come out of at mid-field... My sales rep told me that the players would still come out of the corner tunnel with the inflatable helmet at the start of each game, and that they would just use that midfield tunnel for halftime. So they either changed their minds, or it's just another thing they are holding off on til the regular season.

And I don't know if this has been mentioned, but the Superbowl banners were missing as well.

I'm not a drinker, but I'm pretty sure that all the beer was $8. I noticed when in line that they all had badges that said $8 on one button and $5 on the other button. The $5 button was for water.

And the volume was horribly high at times. The worst was when they played some goofy cartoon kids with really high screeching voices.

Can we trade seats? Plus I'll do your laundry, mow your lawn, and cook for you every weekend except game days of course?;)

Thanks for both the reports and the pics. Very nice. I think I'll bring ear plugs on Sept. 20th. I hate really loud music.

He was actually decent again last night.

Don't get me wrong I will still celebrate if he is gone. That non block against Arizona last year haunts me.
Him and Pat Watkins need to go. Pat had another dumb penalty on STs, running down out of bounds without trying to get back in.

Audio Tip for the stadium crew.....turn the treble down and turn the bass up. The volume was fine, but you couldn't hear the guys with bass in their voice and you couldn't bear to hear the shrill shreiks of anyone or thing with higher pitched voices. I had to cap my ears for that stupid cartoon.

And the "Julius Jones" commentary was both sad and funny. Almost as funny/pathetic as the punt hitting the scoreboard or the "Fan Cam" announcement when the camera stayed focused on a closeup of the cheerleaders for 5 minutes.

So here's what my experience was like last night. As a season ticket holder in the old stadium, I was quite excited for last night's game in the new stadium and was anxious to enjoy all of the great things promised to me when I purchased club level seating (Section C308).

First of all, I call the guest services hotline early in the day to verify what time the gates opened. I was told 4pm. I get to my assigned gate shortly before 4:00 and was told it doesn't open until 5:00. Fail. I was then told I could go hang out in the plaza, which was to open at 4:00, where I could get food and beer. So I walk down there, stand in line until 4:30 (they were late opening the plazas), only to be told that those with club and suite tickets would not be allowed entry. Fail. :banghead: I walk back down to my assigned entry point and was finally let in shortly after 5:00. Apparently, club seat holders can indeed go into the plazas, but not until our entrance opens at 5, where we then must go all the way up to level 4, walk around to the endzone, go back down to the 2nd level and out to the plaza.

I'm a simple girl...so one of the things I was most looking forward to, was having vendors serving beer in the seats, since we didn't have that luxury in the old stadium. I get to my seats just before the game starts and notice tons of beer vendors walking around in the levels below and above me, but none in my level. I ask an employee in my club about it at half time, and was told that the 3rd level is considered the elite level, so that's why they don't have the vendors out there. Um, what? I'm in an "elite" level, so I have to go get the beer myself? Fail.

Then here's the kicker...apparently being in the club seats means you pay more for beer. My friend was craving nachos, so she went down to the 2nd level and over to the non-club sections to find them. She saw a beer vendor walking around selling beer for $5. We paid $8 in our section. I guess they figured if you have enough money to purchase club seats, you can afford to pay more for your beer. That's just wrong!

Crowd noise was not good. I'm hoping it was just because of pre-season. I can't remember the last time I sat during an entire game...no one stood unless we scored or made a great play, and even then it was only for a second. The guy behind me never once got out of his seat, opened his mouth or clapped his hands. I was wondering what the hell he was doing there. I'm a little disappointed with the people sitting around me, I'd prefer to be with a rowdy bunch!

Some good things...
The stadium is beautiful, the jumbo-tron is amazing, and I admit I had a good chuckle when the punt hit it.

The seats were extremely comfortable (perhaps this is why no one got up out of them?), and I loved the fact that they had cup holders. Can't tell you how many times I came home with beer soaked sneakers at the old stadium!

Good post.
I'm in section 313. We were wondering the same thing, why the lower level had vendors, and we didn't.
If we are in an elite level, then why don't we have a decent food selection. I was told we could get anything from a hot dog to a steak.
We went down to the 2nd level at halftime, then on down to the 1st level, just to get nachos, only to find out the were out of chile, but still charged full price.
When we went down later, they wouldn't let us in, because we didn't have 2nd level seats, and were told to go through some other doors to the endzone area.
But yet there was not any one checking tickets to prevent people coming up to the "elite" level. Was very dissapointed in that. Making a complaint to my sales rep tomorrow.
Good thing, even at half time, no waiting in the restrooms like Texas Stadium where you wait the entire halftime to get to the door.

We got to our gate entry right at 5:00, I was told they would open then. I think it was about 5:10. No traffic problems arriving or leaving.
I think this place will be rocking on September the 20th.

Overall, great. But they dropped the ball on the Silver Club level at least this time. Also, the pictures and was told, we would have seating and a dining area....they failed on that too.
