1) Dallas is without their best player on offense (Ezekiel Elliott).

2) Dallas is without their best player on defense (Sean Lee).

3) Dallas is without their best lineman, on either side of the ball (Tyron Smith).

That's NO EXCUSE for the team to quit, but if we the fans or hell even Eagles players expected the same team that beat KC, y'all are just going to be sorely disappointed.

It's not just the fact that we still don't have the quality depth to make up for these losses (same old same old for over 20 years). You're talking about taking away our BEST contributers on offense and defense, and the numbers back it up. It is what it is.

We didn't have Murray out for an extended period in 2014...what if we did? Do we coast to the division title with our backup RB? Same as last year -- what if Elliott were out six games? Do we win as many?

Face it-- the way this team is structured, one or two or three key injuries and/or suspensions and we're done. It's that simple. Much like in '15 with Weeden filling in for Romo. Especially someone like Zeke, who accounts for 40-50% of the offense since our WRs scare no one.

So start with excuses and then throw in the "these are not excuses" line

Just look at what Philly did with the run vs Irving. They saw how much he learned forward, so they let him fall forward and attack the hole behind him. They did this atleast 4 times.

1) When's the last time the cowboys schemed something new to counter an opposition players tendency? Never?

2) After the first or second time it happened, why didn't they speak to Irving about making adjustments? I'm assuming they'll talk about it this week but that doesn't help DURING THE GAME

Our coaches have no ability to scheme over weaknesses. Sean McVay has made the Rams overnight contenders with nearly the exact same roster they had last year. His schemes are so good that even without a significant upgrade in talent, he is getting significantly better results.

Jason Garrett brings the opposite - without top level talent across the board, we effectively become the Cleveland Browns. In what world is that remotely acceptable?

Once again, there were plays that could have, and did work, but if it's working Linehan goes away from it. Half our running yds came on a handful of plays outside, yet we never forced them to adjust to it. In the third quarter we ran outside and had a 2nd and 2, Scott threw the damn ball. then we came back with a run inside on third down and the eagles were waiting for it. Where is Jason, on second and 2, I'm calling a TO and ripping my OC a new one right there. We could have made a game of it, but we were out coached again.

Like 1000 more times.

That was a terrible sequence. Shouts and Screams at Linehan's inabilities. Jason deserves the ultimate blame.

Goodness folks, read thoroughly before rushing to the "OP is making excuses" comment.

Otherwise other NFL team's fans will think we Cowboys fans can't read. We have enough problems with this franchise as it is.

I love how some of you think I'm giving the coaching staff a pass.

Look, I've said the coaching has been a disaster ever since BP left. Wade was WORSE at HC than Garrett is; let that sink in for a while.

But let me ask you, just what the hell do you think the FANS (that's us) can do about it? That's all on the owner pal. I just offered a reason (reasons) why Dallas couldn't hang through all four quarters. They have no quality depth to overcome the losses of some of our key starters.

...which in conjunction with the abysmal coaching staff, spells disaster.

But keep *****ing and moaning about that said coaching staff. I'm sure Jerry will hear our voices.
