A couple of small trade backs and trying to target the team has expressed interest in.

16. Jaycee Horn CB- South Carolina
44. Carlos Basham- Edge Wake
53. Tommy Togiai- DT Ohio St.
79. Brevin Jordan- TE Miami
99. Royce Newman - OL Ole Miss
123. Andre Sisco - S Syracuse
138. Milton Williams - DT La Tech
150. Kylin Hill - RB Miss. State
162. Camryn Bynum - CB Cal
179. Joshua Bledsoe S Missouri
227. Shane Buechele QB SMU
238. Braiden James OL Nebraska

pretty happy about it. Think I covered a whole lot of areas. Obviously would have liked a LB but it didn’t fall right.

Home Run?

Pretty good list of prospects..1 main gripe would be Newman at 99. If/when we take an o-lineman top 100 I think they need to have LT potential. In my opinion you missed the mark there.

Also not sure why we need a TE at 79. Schultz and Jarwin may not be sexy options, but it’s an extremely solid duo...especially when we are only counting on them as the 4th receiving option. Blocking Te later in the draft is all we need in my opinion unless we are talking difference maker like Pitts or possibly Freiermuth.

And realistically you’re going to have to take Milton Williams a good 75 picks before you got him.

Can either of you direct me to a game where Milton did something of note to deserve this hype?

I watched Williams get worked by Georgia Southern.. looking like an UDFA.

Maybe I could live with your top 4-5 picks the rest are not too good. Buechele I would never draft.

Im not the biggest fan myself. I think he’s more of a 5 tech in a 3-4, too much of a tweener in a 4-3 for my liking. I like both Basham and Peyton Turner a good bit more. I can only go off the media hype and the fact that he tested as an absolute freak athlete for his size in terms of draft stock. I’m personally hoping the cowboys avoid Willams at 44 though

Instead of a home run mock, lets call it a single. Nice and it could be a future score, but definitely not something to write home about. JMO

He tested great and draft insiders like Pauline and Brugler are saying he’s a 2nd-3rd pick. They give the typical explanation of the system he played in didn’t let him be a playmaker.

I think it could be Horn or Surtain in the first both of them would be a big boost on defense to what we have now.

I think they'll take a edge rusher in the first three rounds, our sack leader last year had 6.5 sacks.

Newman was my G/T pick for quite a while, good footwork and has started at both positions.

Williams put up good numbers in 22 games, 19 tackles for loss 10 sacks and 3 fumble recoveries and he tested really well. You do have to project due to level of competition.

I like the idea of trading down to get extra picks in the 2nd and 3rd round if possible. We'd like to get help on the OL, LB, DT and secondary and it will take extra high picks to do that. At the same time, if an impact player if available at 10, they have to take him. If Pitts falls, for example, I just do not see how they can pass him up. Jerry made that mistake with Randy Moss and I don't think he will make it again.

Ok thanks.
He played 3T and looked like some 4T. I didn't see a motor, didn't see strength to control blocks, didn't see a 4.6 40 in the game. I don't know what they could say he good at.

Replace Togai w/ Tonga, and I'm in!!!!!

What's up w/ the love for Milton Williams? Looks like a tweener rotational type.

It would be a mistake to take him before the late 4th.

He's not a bad pick at that point, but I think I'd rather have a big body. Togiai isn't huge (good weight, not-so-good height). If we could get someone like McNeill, Shelvin, Marshall or Slaton, I'd probably like it better.

In my opinion, if you're a 3-tech type and you last past the early third round at the latest, it's because you're not a very good 3-tech type. Sure some players slip through the cracks, but they are rare to find.
