My initial reflections on the game . . . .

It's no surprise we need to get our FS position fixed. Heck, we brought in Parrish, who was just cut from a poor SF team, to improve the position. And we're already about 75% done with the regular season . . . . This MUST tell you that we have serious concerns back there.

On top of that, we need a pressure player to complement Ware. I don't know if Ellis can make it back 100% after his injury. Problem is, there's isn't much we can do about it right now other than try to "mask" the problems.

I think our problem is Zimmer... I no longer think it is as much FS... I think our game plans are so mediocre, that we need superior players at every position to even make plays...

Maybe, but Davis, for example, was once again caught for a huge play. The FS position is a gaping hole right now. Add to it, we really need one more pressure player to complement Ware. He's the only guy who gives us consistent pressure. And it's become obvious how to better neutralize him.

Agreed, but our safeties are AWFUL in coverage. Look at the Davis play where he horribly misjudged that ball. That was just woeful.

I know this is hard for people to believe, but isnt it possible they look bad in coverage alot because they are being coached poorly?

it aso doesnt help their cause when QB's have 10-12 seconds to throw and can stand in perfectly formed pockets with nobody blocking a passing lane

Not only poorly coached, but everybody knows that the way to move the ball against Dallad is the screen or some short dink and dunk... the safeties are bound to compensate for this and leave their man to attack the play...

the players, especially Roy, seem to be playing double-minded... they are focused on doing too many things...

It's painful to watch sometimes. I really thought we would have a better pass rush this year. If we go OLB next year with our first round pick this board will probably explode just like tonight.

NO runs a lot of 4 to 5 receivers sets.. Ware is so damn gifted.. he plays his heart out the entire game, despite having to cover SO MUCH, rush, and contain the run...

Mine:

Utterly deplorable.

The worst performance I have seen out of this team in decades.

Wonder why we have had two BIG let downs this season playing at home?

NYG and now NO. You'd think the results would favor us.
