I think Smoot would be a pretty big reach @28 just for the sake of trying for a DE. Unless he blows up the combine I don't think he will be a top 35 player...maybe after a trade down to pick up an extra 3rd or something.

Agree that Jones and Hall have the potential to be mid round steals. Don't know much about Stewart though, I'll have to look into him

Would love Short (or Richardson) but have very little faith in us dishing out a big contract in free agency. Fletcher Cox set a pretty big precedent for DT contract...Short isn't all that far behind. I can see him getting like 5 years $80+M

MY guy this draft is Demarcus Walker i just dont think Dallas will have a chance to draft him unless he makes a climb. Stewart is a lesser version of Amari Cooper, same type of guy just not as good. but no slouch. Would do very good in this offense IMO.

Dallas needs to do more inside at the DT IMO. They dont have a guy who can get after inside. Not even Collins is consistent there. Think Dallas really wants Irving inside. Think Dallas needs o cut its loses with Crawford and make him a june 1 cut. get 5mil to sign ur draft picks. Dallas needs a playmaker inside and they dont have that. Richardson would be agreat for this DL IMO. Have to trade for him tho

I dont think Marinelli feels the need to prioritize the DT position. especially the 1Tech.
most of us instinctively feel we need a very good run stuffer there, he does not.
i think the Jones' maybe Garrett are going to have to make Marinelli work with a big time (early draft pick or top FA) DLineman of any position

Agreed. We tend not to overspend on the interior line. Was La Roi Glover or Jason Ferguson the last guys who got decent contracts? He would be a nice upgrade just don't see it happening.

Add crawford in there too. He's probably the reason (along with the emergence of collins) the cowboys won't make a splash at DT this free agency.
