Look at the grades that he is given not the mock drafts you can have a first round grade and not be picked in the first round
I DID, and EVERYONE OF THEM say he's a 2nd round grade!
Quote:
YES HE WAS, he was from a small school, and until the senior week was projected to be a 3rd rounder!!!!!!!
Man, do you have any clue what you're talkin about or just make things up as you go????/
Dude your so wrong its not even funny
THIS PROVES YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING CAUSE HE WAS SO PROJECTED AS A 3rd ROUNDER BEFORE SENIOR BOWL PRACTICES!!!!!!!!!
Here's just one profile on him, but why don't you GOOGLE "Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie 3rd round" and see how just about EVERYONE said he's a 3rd round prospect prior to senior week, THIS PROVES ONCE AND FOR ALL YOU KNOW NOTHING!
you think he was a 1st rounder PRIOR to senior bowl week????????
BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
<H1>Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, 2008 NFL Draft Prospect
Cornerback/Free Safety
6' 2" 178 lbs.
Speed: 4.38
Division 1AA: Tennessee State
SeniorThe 2007 NFL Draft was a fairly strong draft for small school cornerbacks. The Saints shocked everybody when they seemingly reached for two small school cornerbacks: CB Usama Young in the 3rd round (66) and David Jones from Wingate in the 5th round (145). Corey Graham from New Hampshire was then selected in the fifth round (168) by the Bears. Rashad Barksdale was drafted in the 6th round (201) by the Eagles; Courtney Brown was selected in the 7th round (212) by Dallas (Brown is being converted to safety). Ironically, one of the highest rated small school cornerbacks for the 2007 NFL Draft was Hampton’s Travarous Bain and he wasn’t even drafted, he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Arizona Cardinals.
So anything is possible when it comes to the NFL Draft, but one thing I do know is that Rogers-Cromartie will be one of the first small school corners selected in the
NFL Draft. He isn't' without some room for improvement, at barely 180 pounds he will have to put on some more weight in the form of muscle mass. He has the frame for it, but it might take a couple years in an NFL weight training program to get his weight up to around 195-200 lbs. Until then he might get pushed around a little in the NFL. He has excellent ball skills, but how well he can come up and tackle will make or break him at the next level.
One of the highest rated cornerbacks for the 2008 NFL Draft is Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie from Tennessee State. Rogers was dominant on the Division 1AA level and was a first team Division 1AA All American from Lindy’s, a first-team All-Ohio Valley pick, and on almost every other Division 1AA first Team All-American list in the nation. Rodgers is a ball hawk; he snatched a league-best six interceptions in 2006, to go along with his 47 tackles (35 solo). The senior from Bradenton Florida also recorded 13 passes defended, 2 Tackles for loss and 1 blocked kick.
This past season (2007) he was selected All-OVC. Rodgers-Cromartie finished the 2007 season with two interceptions, both returned for TDs (69, 71). On the year, he had 11 pass break-ups, 37 tackles (28 solo) and 2 TFLs (8). Additionally, Cromartie returned 33 kick-offs for 806 yards and 1 TD, and 4 Punt Returns for 16 yards. He also finished the year with 4 blocked kicks (3 FGs and 1 PAT). Two FG and 1 PAT blocks were game-savers (Jackson State-FG, Austin Peay-PAT in OT, Murray State-FG). He had 2 rushes on end arounds for 16 yards and 1 pass reception for 38 yards. On the season Cromartie accumulated 1,016 All-Purpose Yards (92.4 ypg).
That is all fine and dandy, a lot of defensive backs put up incredible numbers at the small school level, but what separates Rogers is his speed and athletic ability. Rogers has world class speed and jumping ability which will allow him to compete with the big boys in the NFL. Rodgers was named the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track Championships Top Male athlete after winning first place in the 60 meter dash (6.89 seconds), the Long Jump (25.75), and the High Jump (6-09.5). He also finished second place in the Triple Jump at (48-08).
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is a solid NFL Prospect and with nice size, speed and leaping ability.
Before the 2008 Senior Bowl I would have given him a 3rd/4th round draft grade, but at the practices leading up to the game, and especially at the game itself Rodgers proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is as good, if not better than any division 1 defensive back in the entire nation. He was awarded the Under Armour New Prototype Award for his play in the 2008 Senior Bowl.
He played mostly free safety at the Senior Bowl and he was arguable the best defensive back on the field. He breaks fast on the ball and even though he is tall and lanky, he has a low, smooth back pedal. What was really impressive though is the way he jumps up at the highest point to get the football. He doesn't look to bat it away like most defensive backs, when the ball is in the air he thinks it is his and he goes after it. He plays with great confidence and with his vertical jump he won't lose many jump balls in the NFL. We knew he had speed and height, but now we can see elite ball skills and that combination of talent could catapult him into the late first round/ early second round area in the 2008 NFL Draft

He's more of a zone guy, and I want a flat ou cover corner, must my preference, he's better for a tampa 2 defense!
I think he's one of the better corners in the draft and with out the hype so he's going under the radar. I think you need to see some of the things marchetta was posting with the grades of the players
I'm not gonna argue this one, I don't feel he's a 1st round pick, and I definately don't want him opposite Newman, I want one of the top 4 guys which IMO are McKelvin/Jenkins/DRC/Talib!

Not one source, a TON of them!
10 sources of crap still equals crap
Show me ONE that says different then!
if NONE of them say it EXCEPT YOU, who has more credibility, the 100 sites or the ONE LONE POSTER who has already proven to be a fraud with the whole CROMARTIE arguement?
Quote:
so you still have Thomas and James starting this year AND we have Burnett also, so why use a 3rd round pick on a player who won't see the field for at least another year IF THAT??????
yes every rookie drafted should start right away and they don't need any time to transtion into the NFL your logic is baffling.
I just don't see the logic of drafting a guy we don't need in a CROWDED I.L.B. position in ROUND 3!
I'd want a 3rd rounder to contribute SOME as a rookie, drafting an I.L.B. in round 3 will NOT contribute on the field other than special teams and I don't think any 3rd rounder would be able to beat out Burnett next year anyway.

Once again, Spears is on our roster now though, and EVEN WITHOUT SPEARS, (I used Ratlliff at D.E. since we have Fergy and Tank at N.T.) so we have at D.E. Ratliff/Canty/Hatcher/ and Moore who you drafted, that's 6 D-lineman, we aren't gonna keep more than 6 D-lineman IMO, and I can't see a 5th rounder beating out a guy like Bowen if we do keep 7 anyway, a waste of a pick if oyu ask me!
You ever hearo f the pratice squad? Bowen isn't nothing to right home about none of our D-lineman are so stop pimping them like they are
I'm don't wanna use a 5th rounder on a PRACTICE SQUAD GUY!
Quote:
BUT YOU MADE FUN OF ANOTHER GUY'S ENTIRE 1st ROUND MOCK DRAFT, HOW CAN YOU MAKE FUN OF HIS MOCK THEN ADMIT YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT TEAMS WOULD DRAFT WHO????????????????????????????????
Because his draft was horrid mcfadden at 14 and had us picking up maarringham after he ran hisself into the late 2nd round
He saidhis mock was prior to McFadden running and there were rumors he could be slipping prior to him running, and as far as Manningham, he is NOT a late 2nd rounder just cause of his 40 time, he has FOOOTBALL SPEED, you keep taking guys 40 times and moving them up and down the draft board by about 25 spots! LOL
Manningham was a late 1st and cause he didnt' run well in his 40 you drop him to LATE 2nd?????????
If he's there after the top 10- picks in round 2 I'd be screaming for Dallas to move up and go get him.

TRUE, I'd be shouting cause I can't stand stupid people who act like they know what they're talkin about but in reality have no clue!
For you saying Moore is a D.T. and to not even know if we drafted him it would be to play D.E. is MIND BOGGLING and tells me all I need to knwo about your EXPERTISE when it comes to the draft and the players.
How LONG you've been researching it is IRRELEVANT!
I know people who are going to college for 9 years, that means nothing other then they're really not too bright! LOL
SAD that you've been researchign this since NOVEMBER yet didnt' even know Cromartie was ranked as a 3rd rounder prior to the senior bowl practices and game and that Moore if we drafted him would be better suited to play D.E. in our system.
I'm done, I proved my point, I proved you don't know anything about the draft or the draftees even if you followed them since PEE WEE football, it doesn't change the fact that you really dont' know much about the players you talk about, so this conversation is over, I wasted enough time explaining things to you and you just won't ever GET IT, so I'm done!
your the frist person i've seen say DRC was projected to the 3rd round or has a 3rd round grade did you come up with that one all by your self/
COME UP WITH THAT ALL BY MYSELF???????????
R U SERIOUS????????????????????
You think I'm the 1st person you've EVER SEEN say he was a 3rd round prospect prior to senior bowl week??????????
BEFORE you make yourself look anymore foolish about the draft and the draftees, you might wanna GOOGLE "dominique rodgers-cromartie 3rd round". EVERYONE ON PLANET EARTH KNOWS HE WAS PROJECTED AS A 3rd ROUNDER prior to the senior bowl workout, ANYONE with MINIMAL DRAFT KNOWLEDGE would know this, so that speaks VOLUMES about your expertise in the draft my friend!!!!!!!!!!
