ReSignings:
Johnny Manziel QB, Kellen Moore QB, Lance Dunbar RB, Jack Crawford DL, Jeff heath S, James Hannah TE, Mackenzey Bernadeau OL, Kyle Wilber

FA Signings
Jeremy Lane CB,

Tender Ron Leary RD2 i can see a bottom RD2 team picking him up (DEN) same type of blocking scheme

Draft
Round 1
Myles Jack LB UCLA
Dynamic Lber who is a 3 down LBer and wouldnt even need to come off in Dime downs. He can be lined up in the slot the way Carolina uses Shaq Thompson. Dallas was looking at Thompson last yr too. Jack is a better Athlete and Lber bigger and can play all 3 Lber spots.

Round 2
Noah Spence DE Eastern Kentucky
Probably the best pure pass rusher in the draft. I think he could beat out Gregory and start. Gregory with zero sacks is alarming.

Round 2(DEN)
Austin Johnson DT Penn State
Great size and enough pressure up the gut to provide help for Crawford.

Round 3
Braxton Miller WR Ohio State
Playmaker and the type of guy Jerry is always looking for. If he has a good week at the SR bowl watch out for him on draft day

Round 4
Jonathon Williams RB Arkansas
If it wasnt for his early season injur Alex Collins would probably be a 6-7th round pick. Williams is the better pure runner and better rounded out player. Can pick up blitzes very well.

Round 4(COMP)
Miles Kilebrew S S Utah
Smart S who can play within the system Dallas has and follow the plan.

Round 6(OAK)
Jeff Driskel QB LA Tech
Develop could be a guy for the down the line or a nice backup.

Round 6(COMP)
Jordan Walsh G/C Iowa
Player who can play both spots and is probably a better C.

Round 6(COMP)
Kevon Seymore CB USC
Zone guy who is good in coverage. Plays a little too soft but will tackle.

QB: Romo, Moore, Manziel
RB: McFadden, Williams, Dunbar
FB: Clutts

After the Wenz obsession I was THRILLED to see Jack as the pick.

You actually have three of my top players from my current mock/hope draft and off-season...
1 - Myles Jack LB UCLA
2 - Austin Johnson DT Penn State
3 - Miles Killebrew S Southern Utah

This is all assuming Jerry signs RG3 to a multi-year QB-of-the-future deal before the draft.

Huh?
Are you saying if it wasn't for Collins early injury or Williams early injury? And are you saying if Williams had been the starting running back Collins would be going in the 6th or 7th round?

And you think Denver is going to sign Leary and give up a second round when they can get a young offensive lineman in the second round - one likely to be a starter?

And you don't have us drafting a corner high, but you have us letting Carr and Cailborne go? You think Oscan is strong enough to man one spot and Jeremy Lane the other? Where's the corner help?

Nevertheless, if the Cowboys invest as heavily in defense based on your projects and if the coaching is there, there should be no excuse for this team not getting into the playoffs and having a deep push.

Williams was the primary runner. I just dont think Collins would have seen much action. Maybe 6-7 might be harsh but because of williams injury Collins showed what he could do. Which he wouldnt have if Williams wouldve been healthy.

Carr go? Go look at tghe entire post again. Scandrick has proven for the past 3 yrs he is strong enough smart enough to start. And last yr showed he could play bigger than his size says. Remember the chicago game? Game ending INT. Guy has serious vertical

Jack is my favorite player in this draft. I think he's going to be a superstar.

The part about someone signing Leary for a 2nd rounder is pretty unrealistic, but I like the guys you took for the most part. Jack and Johnson would improve the D a ton alone.

I also wouldn't wait that long for a rb. I like Williams because he's solid all around, but I'm not sure he really has a skill set that stands out in the NFL. I think he has a good shot to be a solid RB, but future full timestarter might be pushing his ceiling. I hope we are looking for more than that from a RB in this draft.

I don't see the Jack hype... he doesn't even have a position to play in the NFL, perhaps strong safety. He is way to small for MLB at 220 pounds. He won't beat out Lee at WLB. Maybe if we had the DT of the Panthers in front of him he could be a MLB, but we don't. IMO he will have to change position to SS or have a very stout DL in front of him. Maybe he can go back to RB.

Not sure how you can say Jack doesn't have a position if you've recently watched playoff games involving Pittsburgh and Carolina. He's a better version of Ryan Shazier and Shaq Thompson.

Who said he's 220? UCLA's website had him listed at 245 for the 2015 season. That might be a few pounds generous, but somewhere in the middle of those 220-245 is probably about right. And no doubt he has the frame to add more if need be but, 6'1 233 isn't exactly small for a LB.

And don't forget he was asked to play at RB on offense too. He most likely had to keep himself a little more trim and agile to be able to play RB then he would if he was only playing LB.

I liked most of the picks... However starting off with Manziel just ruined it for me.

LOL i knew most would hate it and i dont even know how much i would hate that pickup. But its realistic to see Jerry signing him if he's released by cleveland.

I read a few weeks back that jack was close to 240 back then all muscle.
