Good points.

I've been saying this same thing about RIvera all season long. Earlier in the season when people were complaing about Flozell for some reason, I was saying Rivera is the first lineman that should be replaced (and it should really be this offseason).

David - I find your post to be refreshingly honest with minimal homerism.

Did Newman give up any TD's?

I guess they will say he gave up one, but Vick must have had 10 seconds to throw on that TD and it was probably a zone defense at the beginning of the play

Newman was the only one who was even close by the way on any of the 4 tds

Thanks for the report.

Yea, I thought Newman jumped that pass for am int watching it on the tube. It was a nice throw.

Jim Johnson has had some time to disect Romo, next week should be a good yardstick. Of course, he's also had some time to disect Rivera:cool:

Romo: 22/29 278yards 75.9%

that is not "share of troubles" it called playing NFL QB.

I think what David is saying is you can see wide open receivers that QBs miss when you attend a game in person. You dont see that stuff on TV - the viewing angle on your TV isnt wide enough to show you. One of the reasons I sit in the upper deck end zone is so I have the "coaches view" when they go over film the next day. You see the routes the WRs run and whether or not they were open. Bledsoe would miss wide open receivers on almost every play, and it was frustrating to watch. Romo misses open WRs too, but far far fewer than Bledsoe did, hence his 75.9% completion percentage. As Romo gains more experience, we hope those missed opportunities decrease. Thanks for the great post, David. Glad you had fun at the game.

The Eagles don't have the firepower on defense.

I think we've reached the plateau where Romo has probably seen 98% of what teams will try with him. There probably isn't much new.
