Might nightmare appears to be reality: We eat $15 million of his cap space and get nothing in return because our owner is a hobbyist.

Get rid of a whopping 84 mil in cap over three years minus the dead money.
HUGE possible savings if you look at it that way

I am not too scared about Romo in the playoffs giving his 2 playoff wins in a decade record. And that was when he was younger and healthier. Now older and injury prone.

New Year, new teams. I'm sure folks will be a bit nervous about facing a more experienced DAK.
I'd like to think so but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about a sophmore slump and/or teams having more film on him and preparing more adequately. On the other hand, we have the best O line in football so it really doesn't matter how much film they have, lol.

You should hope that it works out for him. The guy is an outstanding player and person and he has been the victim of some bad luck over the years. Romo is one of the best in the game and he had to come out of nowhere to get there. Luck very well could change for him and he could very well win a Super Bowl.

Fans outside of the greater Houston area may not understand what it's like being a Cowboys fan here, but if Romo goes to the Texans and gets them to the super bowl, I'll never forgive JJ.

The only thing that the Texans are missing is a QB so if JJ let's them get that last piece, Cowboys fans here would never hear the end of it.
This falls under the category of WGA*.

Romo isn't leading anyone anywhere tbh.... Although Houston is plug & play, it's really plug & pray that Tony lasts 16 plus games...

Hence why no one traded for him... No one in their right minds was going to give up a draft pick for a hope & a prayer for good health. Sucks. I was hoping to fleece someone.

Still hanging on to hope for a trade, eh?

It is over. We get nothing.

We stole fizzy lifting drinks. We bumped into the ceiling which now has to be washed and sterilized, so we get NOTHING.

I honestly don't care much for a trade. We weren't getting much for him unless stupidity sets in. A 37-year old QB that has played very little football in the past 18 months because of a bad back that has been operated on multiple times and you're expecting a 2nd round pick. That's what I call optimism.

If they were getting any decent offers, they'd take it. They'd spin it and say it's a credit to Tony's body of work that even with the injuries he's had he still has value, yadayada. But there aren't any. And Jerry is too embarrassed to trade him for anything less than a 4th probably. He's worried how it would look and probably how Tony would feel.

Which is upsetting. It's a business and Tony should understand that with no hard feelings especially with the money he's made playing and endorsements being America's team QB. Jerry should be able to say you'll always be a Cowboy, I need to do what's best for the team just like when you were the QB and I'm going to trade you for what we can get.

He's done folks. Body won't stand up to punishment. John Elway will get Tony if he wants him. Houston second choice

Can't say that hasn't crossed my mind, but DAK showed time and time again that he could handle the pressure. He might have some ups and downs, but as long as he prepares like he has he should be fine.

Romo going to the Texans and winning a Super Bowl would be preferable to any situation other than us winning the Super Bowl.

Being from Houston I could care less if romo goes there and succeeds which if he can stay healthy he will

If he goes to Denver, the percentage of me watching him play is low, if he goes to h-Town it comes out on tv. Although I wonder if he goes to Denver how that game up there can turn out.
