What reason does he have to spite Jerry?

Romo doesnt. He should be kissing Jerry.

Romo gets out of Dallas and gets to hand pick where he wants to go. If Romo had ANY shot at winning it all in these twilight years he HAD to get out of Dallas.

This is crazy, I root for the DALLAS COWBOYS team, every one else on any other team is so secondary that just doesn't matter at all.

Like when Ware won a sb, I was "cool ware got a ring" I wasn't openly cheering for him because it's just not that important to me after the Cowboys are not in it.

Are you unable to actually hope for a player to do well also? Dallas isn't going to win every superbowl, so it's okay to hope that a good guy who has worked his way from being an UDFA, played his heart out for that team you root for, and seems like a pretty damn good dude finally gets his due. His window is very small. Dallas' is not.

I agree. Romo should name his next child after Jerry.

Jerry has basically paid Romo millions of dollars, treated him like a son, built a team around him and lets him choose what team he joins in free agency.

Jerry owes Romo NOTHING.

Well, personally, I think Jerry wasted Romos career with his horrid GM management.

But all that aside..................what Jerry is now doing for Romo is beyond love and devotion.

At the end of the day, Romo played Jerry like a harp. And he got Jerry to do EXACTLY what he wanted. Release him.

Don't understand all the Houston bashing here.
Love Cowboys, but hate the city of Dallas.
I would be happy to see Romo in Houston.
Give a reason to root for both Texas teams.

I agree with your first comment too. I'm convinced that had the Cowboys built a defense around Romo and treated him like Parcells wanted to treat him (a glorified Jeff Hostetler), he would be wearing a Super Bowl ring right now.

But, alas, what could have been. Sigh.

In my mind Jerry hiring and keeping Wade and Garrett as his head coaches under Romo ruined any chance of us winning a SB during the Romo era.
