*I really hope Garrett signs with Detroit Lions as a head coach.*

NOTE TO MR. JERRY JONES,
I believe that Shanahan would be a excellent upgrade to the Dallas Cowboys coaching staff as a offensive cordinator/assistant head coach or head coach and I also believe you should take it in full consideration.

Here is the statistics ranking comparison between Cowboys who ranked (13th Total Offense) (21st Rush Offense) (9th Pass Offense) in 2008 under Jason Garrett offense and Denver who ranked (2nd Total Offense) (12th Rush Offense) (3rd Pass Offense) under Mike Shanahan's offense which was more balanced than Jason Garrett who had enough weapons to be in a better position than the Cowboys are now which is on the couch looking at the playoffs.

I believe Shanahan would use these weapons and with this new stadium coming in people expecting SUPERBOWL MR. JERRY JONES... I do like Wade Phillips as a defensive cordinator but you have to ask yourself how many teams that use the 3-4 in the NFC is in the playoffs? NONE! Mr. Jerry Jones I believe you have broken out of the tradition of the Cowboys Doomsday 4-3 Defense. The Cowboys aren't in the AFC, which it usually works in. Giants 4-3 Cowboys Superbowl Teams 4-3 EAGLES 4-3 PANTHERS 4-3, also Mr. Jones the 4-3 would save you alot of money on players cause the depth you already have which it would be no reason to go out and get any new players to make a fan happy.

I'm sure Jerry will read this either tonight or maybe first thing in the morning.

Jerry's note to people that keep writing him notes on forums:

"Mr. whoever you are. Please stop."

Yeah, please don't use a public forum to air your views.:

Why do people use that style of posting? Like they are addressing Jerry?

I don't get it...

To Whom It May Concern......

Please fire Wade and hire somebody else.

Thanks for your time. :)

Dear President Lincoln,

+1 on the whole Gettysburg Address thing.

Thanks

Figure he has as much chance to read it as Jerry does...

I really love how some want Garrett gone.

Dont think this through... just want it gone.

He was running an offense of all stars that didnt execute.

I could just see it now. He goes to Lions and in 2 years has them winning the division.

Then you come back to cowboyszone.com and you will see posts from the same posters "why oh why did we let Garrett go"

This is the absolute 110% truth. This place would go ape-**** if Garrett goes elsewhere and wins, and the blame will all be put on Jones. And not a single one of those clowns who does it will remember that for the past few weeks, they've all wanted him to be somewhere, anywhere but here, and that someboy, anybody else, could do a better job than he did.

Yeah, with his keen ability to change things and adjust, he should have them winning the division in 2 years and probably the Super Bowl too!!!!!!

:laugh2:

Take into consideration, we had 3 games with Johnson / Bollinger at QB, games without Felix Jones, because they didn't know what Choice could do, so Barber getting hurt was in a way a blessing in disguise.

Also, what defenses did Denver play against as where we played just about all top 10 defenses, or so it seemed. Wasn't the 1989 Cowboys of 1-15, have the top pass defense, because everyone ran the ball of us. Sometimes these numbers can be deceiving if looked at straight up.

However, if Garrett were to leave, yeah, bring in Shanahan. I would not mind that at all.

I actually did it right after the loss for the first time ever but I addressed it to a number of folks. :laugh2: Then after re-reading it I felt dirty but I left it up anyway because it expressed the extremely high level of frustration I had at the time. A mod merged it and then I re-wrote it again when I got home only to repost. LAME

Here it is. My worst post ever. Sometimes it's best to just not visit this board after one of the worst losses you have ever experienced in your history of supporting the Cowboys... The internet isn't all good either. I actually started writing the post on my ATT Tilt while sitting in the bar with my two fellow Boys fans. We were all in full meltdown mode and I just happened to be the one with easy access to this board. Lesson learned. Cooler heads always prevail.

Here's the repost. :eek:: http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142102

:laugh2: What has Jason Garrett done to make anyone think he'll be a great coach? Perhaps we should keep Bruce Read, on the off chance he might go to his next job and be successful?

No one's going to hire Garrett after the joke of a season we just had, which ended with his 2 highest profile players saying our offensive scheme was getting pwnd by opposing defenses.

The only place there's any confidence left in his coaching abilities is amongst a handful of posters on message boards.

Edit: What does the original post have to do with Peter King? Is that a quote from him?
