My observations of 92-93 JimmyJohnson winning & why we have been losing since;

So you watched the 975th rerun of that piece on NFL Network and decided to recap it for those of us who've only seen it 974 times? Excellent.

I haven't had the privilege to see it once much less 974 times so I'm glad he posted about this. It makes no sense to me for you to come on here and critisize him in a smart alec way.

Makes as much sense as you proclaiming it the "greatest post you've ever read on this board". Difference of opinion, look it up.

I think jimmy johnson was the last to be able to moitvate players consistently with that method.

money has changed the game and even with nonguaranteed contracts players arent motivated as much by yelling at them and insinuating they are mentally defective.

its that type of motivation that goes on in the military and since the ending of compulsory service in the mid seventies its fallen out of disuse. Let be quite frank, why put up with tat crap if you dont have to.

Coughlin turns nice and he wins a superbowl. Dungy and Smith win with the same techniques and you can look all the way back to vermeil and see this success being nice gets. wade is of this same mold.

No we didnt lose down the stretch because Wade didnt scare the rosters enough. we lost because Romo's thumb was dinged, TO was hurt, our offensive line needs to be better coached and coordinated in the rungame, jacques reeves, kevin burnett and others cannot cover to save their lives and the fact that the NY Giants are a good football team.

Buck up campers, we still allmost won despite all that.

Good post-if anything, there's almost always a million questions when one's respective team loses. When you win, GREAT, but there's always a bundle of unanswered questions when you lose.

If anything-our 2 reg season wins against the Giants weren't exactly impressive. If Toomer had managed to get both feet in the endzone early in the game, the Giants go up 13-3 and the game would have gotten ugly from there. In the 2nd meeting, Chris Snee committed a bonehead hold on Roy on the potential game tieing TD late in the game-at that point, the Giants would have had the momentum.

Pt being that ultimately, the Giants were the better team in that 3rd meeting. Nuff said about this issue of "we had another meltdown", blah, blah, blah.

Uh! OK!

You didn't even state an opinion about the topic, you only popped off and said you saw the video 974 times. Which means you don't have much of a life because if the video is 1 hour long? multiplied by 974 divided by 24 means you've spent over 40 days watching the same video. WOW no wonder you're tired of it, why don't you try watching some of the other 4 title videos that are available!;)

Hey Hos, you better get in here, people are talking about the past.

great post! initial one of course! couldnt have said it better myself!

Talent wins in the NFL. That team had it and this team is oh so close. Jimmy was great at collecting talent. Parcells was good at collecting talent. Jones has not proven to me that he can do it.

True, but we are about to start finding out if he's learned when it comes to the draft.

thanks guys, im just thinking, some of you that are good writers, maybe you can comprise what i wrote, and send it onto other cowboys boards so maybe that can get back to media personnel and they in turn can get it to jerry jones and the cowboys,

You know, a petition is probably the way to go.
