My only beef with Romo

I don't get this he is essentially a Rookie excuse. He is not. Whether he played or not, he is four year veteran. Its one thing if he was Jason Campbell evenl, second year player, but he is not. Just like Phillip Rivers in San Diego, he doesn't get a free pass.

He has been average/bad in December, whether stats indicate it or not. I like what Romo brings to the table, but I always had issues with his Turnover Prone plays, since 2003. I am just not sure if he will ever be carefull with the ball. Especially in critical situations.

I just hope he does learn that eventually or quickly. He would be heck of QB if he ever did though.

I'm guessing you never played competitive sports before. PLaying on the bench can only help so much, It's starting and playing live games that really help a player mature and become better.

So the guy fumbles a lot in ONE game and all of a sudden it is a chronic problem and time to bring Drew Bledsoe in?

Bledsoe had a legitimate fumbling problem. I guess that is all forgotten about.

My only beef is that he's had all the responsibility dumped in his lap and when the defense is giving up 30 per game, he tends to try to make too many plays.

He mentioned that Aikman told him that game management is critical. You take chances when you're down that you wouldn't take when you're ahead.

Romo by nature, is a chance taker. When he's trailing, it only magnifies this trait.

Irony is, he hurt them yesterday and yet, he and Ware were the only reasons they were even IN the game.

That is spot on.

Romo needs our running game to help him.

His best games have come when we could run the football.

Coincidentally, his worst have come when we ran the ball less than 20 times:

Giants: 23 carries for 100 yards;
Saints: 13 carries for 115 yards, 12 carries for 38 yards after Jones opening 77 yard run.
Falcons: 24 carries for 95 yards;
Eagles: 16 rushes for 41 yards

WE NEED TO RUN THE FOOTBALL BETTER.

That being said our defense needs to give us the opportunity to slow the game down.

Frantic scorefests are not exactly what a gunslinger like Romo needs to have in front of him. He gets more skittish and excited in those circumstances.

I wouldn't say he panics like Bledsoe, he acts more like an overeager teenager.

He's seeing the rush, kinda like Wisconsin's QB today. That's why he's jittery.

I disagree.

Jittery was what Drew Bledsoe was, you could see him lose his composure once he knew he was going to get pounded.

Romo presses too hard and tries to make a huge play when he gets pressured. Other times he makes a miracle play like Brett Favre. But he still is overeager and excited.

That's slightly different from cowering under the pressure and even imagining it when it is not there, which was Bledsoe's problem.

My only beef with Romo is that he's been hanging out with Jessica and Carrie.
He needs Mariah Carey.
She's got more beef where it's needed, to hold on to, and therefore to strenghten his hands, and minimize the fumbling risk.

I agree, however I think that with time and experiance Romo will pick and choose when to double down instead of trying to beat the dealer on every hand.

But he's getting hit more often these past few games. There's more bodies flying around him as teams keep him in the pocket. Unlike Hutch, Bled does have pocket awareness. He's just stubborn. He'd rather wait for a receiver to come open than throw it away.

One of my few beefs with Romo is he tends to escape pressure, and get out of the way a little too quick, even when there isnt as much pressure as he thinks.

I would like to see him move in the pocket, but STILL keep his feet set, something i think he struggles with. Once he feels pressure he goes gunslinger on us.

More Brady, less Favre.

My one beef would be he doesn't take off running when it's there.
One way to slow down a rush is for the QB to abuse it ruining the ball himself.

Tony is looking to make a play down field every play, to a fault some times.

Yeah, Ok, I guess you have been an All-American in your lifetime

You don't know me and I don't know you, so don't presume to know what I did or didn't do. Thats idiotic assumption.

Second, he wasn't exactly always on the bench, he played Pre-season ball. So he is not a rookie QB. Rookie QB is Vince Young, Matt Linart etc. Phillip Rivers/Campbell/Romo are not rookies. There is a big difference there.

Anyone with who has watched enough football games even ought to know that or the difference that makes.
