That’s why I just can’t understand Booker over Golden, or even Ebuka (I know I spelled it wrong I just don’t care)Thats where I hope they serious about trades

This is true but as many of us have admitted ( including yourself) it's going to take more than one off season. We shoud see major improvement in our running game.......which will help Dak, the offense and even the defense via TOP. As for #2 WR........it was either take one of the top 4 in the first round or punt on the position all together. Word is Tmac was their #1 priority at 12. So the intent was there, but it just didn't work out. But I have a feeling they are not done with finding one, but how/where.Agree, a lot to like, but they failed to address two huge areas of need in run defense and lack of another receiver opposite Lamb.
They may have something in the pipeline, who knowsThat’s why I just can’t understand Booker over Golden, or even Ebuka (I know I spelled it wrong I just don’t care)
Yup. They ignored some key free agency needs even though they swear they cover themselves. My biggest issue is that they did very little this entire offseason to help their biggest weakness to helping their run defense. Adding a late NT in a loaded class doesn’t move the needle
I think they honestly believe that they are ok at WR.They may have something in the pipeline, who knows
Pretty good synopsis there.- First two days were a home run. Probably the best top 90 we have had in a long time. We got three guys that could have been 1st rounders. Two at money 5 positions. Im not high on Bookers value at 12, however the opposite side of the coin is that he could help make the interior OL dominant
- Jaydon Blue is alot like drafting Pollard in 2019. Stuck behind guys, so you dont get to see him with high usage. Very similar skill set too. Ball security really needs to get fixed. That could keep him off the field
- I think throwing an annual at OL late is a good way to maintain quality depth, but I would have gone Mellott there in the 6th. I think there is alot of potential with him moving to WR
- Toia is a guy I liked throughout the draft process. High floor guy who should stick in camp. In a way he might correct the Ridgeway mistake from a few years ago. Ridgeway has been a solid role player and I think thats what you get with Toia. I dont think Toia has the range to be a more than that now though. If Smith doesnt improve enough to make it past his rookie deal, I could see Toia having an Antwaun Woods like roll in a couple years
- Mafah is nice value as a hoss type back. Pretty much going to stay between the tackles. Could be a dirty yards type runner. I think his ceiling is kind of a poor mans Damien Harris. I still would rather have taken Rocket. I think Rocket has real feature back upside
Excellent point (s).......we can't fix all problems from 1 draft. We just can't........which leaves either a another strong top-end draft or stong free agency signing.Good players? Yes
This is the kind if draft that can be great for a team that is active in FA
Great draft for this team? Not rea
They at least attempted to get some DTs. Whiffed in free agency and the draft. Hill, Gallimore, Osa, Mazi.I'm talking about DT, not DE.
CollinsGallimore
HUGE understatement. There is lots to like about this draft.
The Cowboys really like Mingo. And they weren't any on day 3 they liked better than what they already have.they failed to address two huge areas of need in run defense and lack of another receiver opposite Lamb.
Correct. So, what you do is build for the future, looking at models of success. Facing the deepest DT draft since 2012 and DT being a beyond desperate need, we took only late round(very late) slugs. We had a chance to build a super bowl DLine, but, as usual, Jerry is too dumb to see it. Grant in the 1st and Alexander in the 2nd, and suddenly we can stop the run and might even win a playoff game.Excellent point (s).......we can't fix all problems from 1 draft. Then they missed an accurate evaluation on Tai Felton. The Cowboys really like Mingo. And they weren't any on day 3 they liked better than what they already have.
they have refused to draft what is needed at NT so that claim is bogusThey have drafted many DT's, just haven't hit of most of them outside of Osa who they just resigned. We have seen the likes of Hill, Collins never become a long-term piece.
OL is the safest position to draft..........It's funny how we draft oline so well and DT so poorly.
lol. There is a poster here who compared Mafah to Hampton.Pretty good synopsis there.
Not addressing the DT position until way late is just a huge black mark. This draft was loaded, and once again we didn't dip in. I like the players, but the positions we didn't take will derail us.
Mafah = Troy Hambrick. Slow to the hole and not all that fast.
Because this team continuing to play it safe is hurting this team.OL is the safest position to draft..........
I'm having a hard time understanding why so many are upset coz we didn't draft a DT high. One DT alone isn't going to fix our defensive run issues. It will be a combination of factors.......coaching, play calling, discipline, and other players. Don't get me wrong, I understand the need and impact of a high-level DT, but most fans/posters' concern is stopping the run and just saying more times than not that's more a team effort, not one player.
I would like to know defensive rankings (run) for the last 5-10 Super Bowl winners ..........I'll look it up in a few daysCorrect. Instead, more skill position players(Yes, the OG was needed) and a monstrous lack of DTs and LBs.
And for anyone screaming BPA, Grant was rated higher than Booker. Know who Grant is being compared to? Vita Vea, the guy who led TB and Brady to a super bowl win.
I think you've forgotten what a difference Hankins made. W/ Hankins in the lineup teams averaged around 3.2 YPC. W/ him not in the lineup it jumped to around 5.OL is the safest position to draft..........

The defense gave up tons of points because the offense was going 3 and out or turning the ball over all the time. I remember the first Eagles game. The defense kicked Philadelphia’s booty and then Zeke fumbles the ball going in for a score. As long as the defense is healthy it will be a top 10 unit. The problem is realistically this defense is going to give up a ton of points just like last year and it's tough to play Marty ball from behind.
