My prediction for a trade

Trading for any player at this point would be stupid. It would be like putting a bandaid on someone that was decapitated. Don’t waste draft picks.

I could see Jerry giving up a 7th for Fitzpatrick. I could see Jerry giving up a pick (3-5) to get a very good quality (marginal starter value) for a very good swing tackle to keep next year to hedge his bets on Tyron coming back.

I could see Jerry trading for ANY position on defense other than DE unless it involves shipping out a DE in trade.

This is what I am hoping for. I just want to play it out. No crazy trades, no desperation moves.

Well he's gotta do something as Dak for many reasons(Cap, injury,non-belief) is NOT a viable option for him come the off-season!

LOL ease up on whatever you are taking. Don't overdose. They are not trading for any QB.
 
Saw something yesterday where Jerry said he's more likely a buyer at the trade deadline. Didn't mention anything particular, so its more like ear to the ground on what comes cheap that might be something he can say is a bargain.

Lol, well actually this is more of a prediction than me wanting it. I don't want it at all. I can see Jerry doing something stupid like this. Also with Darnold on a rookie contract for next year I could see Jerry being stupid. So I had to increase my meds when I got thinking about this but the general consensus is it won't happen so I feel better. Now I can go back to my normal dose of meds, ha. But seriously I'm glad you guys don't think this will happen. I'd be pretty mad. I saw on a jets fan site that there was a rumor about us and Darnold involving our 1st or 2nd pick. Then I got thinking about it and thought Jerry is dumb enough to do it. I do have a strong feeling he's going to try and trade his way to a couple more wins and I'm scared it may be Darnold. Just have a bad feeling about it.
 
I saw this yesterday about 6pm, I think. Certainly after the game.

I also saw the idea of trading for Darnold on this site before i saw this. So the chicken or the egg. Which came first.

 
Can we trade the owner for an " I am not a football guy" owner to be named later.

Unless they get an amazing offer, I don't see the Jets trading Darnold until they know for sure they have the top pick.

And I don't Jerry doing it anyway.

Trade a 3rd for him and I'm down with it. Trade a 1st or 2nd and I'm upset.

Well, at a minimum, to return fair value on a player who you just drafted and have under contract for another 4.5 years, who has exceeded expectations and was widely thought to be the best WR in the draft, you need a bunch.

I am not sure anyone on this team orher than Dak carries more value than CeeDee Lamb when you add in all of those factors.
 
I hope if any trades happen its us giving up players for picks. We need a good draft and free agency pick ups to have even a respectable defense next year. I dont see the point in trading for Darnold but with the way this team is run, I guess I shouldn't be surprised if Jerry goes for that.
