My pros and cons from preseason week 1

Not usually my thing but let me try it...

Pros
Dak (duh)- amazing performance tonight
First half defense- yea they had a really bad drive where they couldn't tackle, still thru only gave up 7 points in one half. I will take that all the time moving forward.
Running game- considering we were missing our top 2 backs they did very well tonight
Whitehead- scoring 13 seconds in and having a nice end around. Still would like to see more from him in the passing game but great special teams performance


Cons
Chaz Green- so disappointing... And makes me really worried moving forward. Maybe he will be better on the right side?
2nd half team performance - while everyone except for Showers will be bagging groceries soon it would have been nice to have a few more bright spots but nothing comes to mind really outside of maybe Olatoye

Any other thoughts?

Defense made me cringe with poor tackling and otherwise sloppy play. Was excited to see Dak play so well though.

That one drive scared me on defense... But really all the other first half drives looked good

Dez-Back-shoulder fade is unstoppable.
Dak-looked great! What poise!
First team OL-dominated.

Cons:
Run D-yuck!
DE-little pressure. Invisible.
Andy Jones: poor kid. Hopefully, he can redeem himself.

Anyone surprised that Anthony Brown was out as soon as the rest of the first team defense was out?

They must really like him.

Dak was amazing. If you had been in Nepal for five years and they told you a top five pick QB was playing against a 4th round comp pick tonight, you would have thought Dak was the first rounder.

I'm not going to panic about Chaz Green yet, he is a RT out of position at LT and a lot of guys have trouble with small speed rushers like Seau. I may yet panic, but not tonight.

Olatoya and Jeremiah McKinnon looked good out of the second half guys, plus LB Deon King and DT Shaneil Jenkins look like good practice squad guys. The rest will be cut soon.

I think if Free goes down moving Collins or Martin out to RT would not be too bad, but moving to LT when you have been playing guard the whole season is a huge step.

Swaim flopped after all the hype but I think he will make amends next week. Green was ok in the first half, just not ready to play a full game yet. He was wore out in second half. Wilcox was awful. Russell was disappointing.

Watched the first half delayed, very disappointed in what we saw from Swaim, he's only going to get so many chances, needs to take them.

Couldn't be more impressed with Dak. All he can do is go out and make plays, only preseason, can't ask for more than that though.

I noticed the new kid #69 a lot!

And lastly, anybody else think Jerry owned the Rams?? Enough already Jerry!

I think we swing Free over in that case... Which makes us worse at 3 positions

Martin at RT would be ok with Leary at RG. I think that would be better than having Green play to be honest.

Mark NZeocha had a nice game, he showed he can play. Want to see him next week too. see if he can keep it up. He was in position and did what he was supposed to do.
Jad the pick, then fumbled, but he will learn from that.

After catching everything in the scrimmages then dropping passes tonight, Amdy Jones has a way to go. But maybe he bounces back next game.

Swaim dropped the two passes but was ok doing things besides catching passes. I predict a big rebound from him next week.
