Solid pick. Will be interesting to see if he starts right away.

Great pick. As solid as you can get.

Can't get over the negative comments about passing on JM.

You need to improve both lines if you are going to be successful in this league and Martin is a stud.

The better our O-Line is the better we should be able to run the ball which means the D will be spending more time on the bench.

I hope they keep making solid picks without getting cute.

The "experts" are such hypocrites. We actually drafted the BPA for a change which happened to fill a position on need and all they talk about is how we didn't take JFB or a defensive player.

Agree 100%. It's funny. Would it be better if we reached for another shante carver because we need a DE? What I like most about the pick is this. Between oline, Dline, LBs, secondary and rb/Wrs we HAD no group that you could look at and confidently call it a reliable strength of the team. I think we finally may have a group that you can hang your hat on. I thought the line was starting to play well as a group at the end of the year but I am glad that the team didn't rest on that.

I was getting SO SICK of hearing the term "Johnny Football" (it's a term/slang/lingo, not a name) coming from the mouths of the NFLN guys...they were projecting about 20 teams to him...Manziel falling will hopefully take some of the punk out of him and make him a little more humble...I think he has talent, and I think the NFL is happy he is there, but he did go to a place where QB's go to die...should be interesting, Cleveland has talent on offense

It has been a long time since I have felt good about a Dallas Cowboy draft pick but this one is as good as a Larry Allen pick. The Cowboys future looks promising and this draft has the look of the ones back in the 90's. Yes, I am a happy camper!!:):D

Thank you. This is the place I need to be. With our $1M QB back issues, we need all the O-line depth we can get. It's just the first round. I think the Boys are being smart (for a change).

I personally think the Johnny Football nickname is ridiculous and trite ... and not very creative. Put a little more effort into the nickname.

It reminds of me when Stone Cold was called Stunning Steve Austin, and the Rock was Rocky Miavia. See what a little more thought and creativity can turns things around?

Johnny Football sounds so cheesy and lame. Glad he's not a Cowboy. I don't want to hear it again.

I like the pick as well. Anytime you get better in the trenches, it is a win. It's about time Romo had a line that can protect him.

A bit early to be handing out draft grades.

Be happy with the pick. But let's see him on the field before assigning Pro Bowl ballots.

Football games and championships are won in the trenches, it appears someone is beating that into Jerry's head for a change!!

Cleveland could win their division this year.

Liked the pick, what guard spot is he lining up? What I like about him was he played 3 straight seasons that says something about him especially for a player that plays the way he does.

These posts are encouraging. It all starts up front and that's no cliche. The more people were educated to who and what Travis Frederick was last year, the more they warmed to him. Martin is better folks. Martin does everything better...the only exception is Fred is a little stronger. Martin is the best technical Olineman in this draft...footwork, devastating punch, hips, balance, you name it. SO glad that Pitt took Shazier. Martin is a better player, and ready to start right away. VERY pleased!

BTW: he's absolutely a day one starter and we WILL get to work today on the DL

Our defensive needs weren't able to be attended to in day one due to nobody being left of enough quality to warrant a #16 pick. The staff found the smartest aletenative they could possibly have found in selecting Zack Martin, IMHO. Congrats to Will McClay and the rest of those responsible. I'm elated with the results so far and can't wait to see what else they have in store. Under the circumstances, the talent acquisition this offseason and so far in the draft is strongly indicative of a newfound practicality and sense of purpose. I'm stoked and can't wait to see what else is in store for the remainder of this draft. Congrats to the war room gang -- keep up the good work.

I'd give it an A.

I hope I can keep that grade after the conclusion of round 3.
