we'll see but jerry didn't look too enthused about the pick during the press conference last night. i wouldn't be surprised if he goes off the reservation today to make up for it.

I give it a B. B is good. That's all I can say. I thought our Oline was good last year so my pick was Pryor there. But as I stated a few times last night while drinking, I've been ringing the safety bell for years. And for those saying we took BPA. You have no clue who the BPA was there and we won't see for awhile. I haven't seen too many experts talk Manziel there as much as D.

Our defensive needs weren't able to be attended to in day one due to nobody being left of enough quality to warrant a #16 pick. The staff found the smartest aletenative they could possibly have found in selecting Zack Martin, IMHO. Congrats to Will McClay and the rest of those responsible. I'm elated with the results so far and can't wait to see what else they have in store. Under the circumstances, the talent acquisition this offseason and so far in the draft is strongly indicative of a newfound practicality and sense of purpose. I'm stoked and can't wait to see what else is in store for the remainder of this draft. Congrats to the war room gang -- keep up the good work.

Martin pick looked more like a Jason Garrett pick than McClay. I suspect McClay will be much more involved in day two with quality Defense players still on board.

Time will tell if it was a good pick. If he ends up as a great player and our coach actually runs the ball more it might be okay. It also depends if JF is a bust or not. We shall see.

they most certainly could...Manziel is the wild card in that...if he shows success, then they could be competitive...if they don't protect him and he has to run around to make plays, it could mean another top 10 pick for them next season

Can't get over the negative comments about passing on JM.

You need to improve both lines if you are going to be successful in this league and Martin is a stud.

The better our O-Line is the better we should be able to run the ball which means the D will be spending more time on the bench.

I hope they keep making solid picks without getting cute.

Agree. Also with his having played multiple O Line positions, it serves as a great swing backup which opens up other possibilities in terms of next choices in the draft.
