To me (my eye test) the run game was not that "effective" against an average to below average front 7
Philly has a great front 7 IMO so I think that will be a huge test. If we can run effectively against Philly (I mean pick up third and short and gain yards in red zone and goal line) then we will have shown that we are back to where we were last year.

I didn't focus on the jersey numbers of the Giants DL, but the DT Hankins looks like a top notch run defender. The Cowboys like to reach block and Hankins power made that difficult.

Also I think the veteran DT Jenkins was playing a lot of DE. Moving a DT to DE should make the run defense really strong at the expense of the pass rush.

I'm concerned about Leary being out. In one of the 2 games last year Leary was playing through and injury and struggled with Cox; however, in the other game Leary was healthy and was good against Cox.
