I had hernia surgery when I was a kid. Don't remember it at all. Just got a small scar. My mom said I kicked the doc in the face, before they could calm me down. :

It's years later and I'm still alive to talk about it. I even forget to mention it when I have to fill out my medical history on those doc forms.

I had mine a few years ago. During the doctor visit, the physician inspected the area (which was below the belt) and notified me that I had a hernia. He had this female intern with him and asked me if she could check the area as well. Trying to be witty, I replied "Sure, have a ball!" The blank stares I received told me that they didn't think it was nearly as funny as I did.
