Football aside, man I'm glad your son is doing well... He's in my prayers man, good to see that Mr. Staubach touched your lives as I'm sure Luke did for his.

This story touches me because my son in September of 07 was too diagnosed with a brain tumor a Medulloblastoma that was located in his Cerebrum. His operation went amazing and had the tumor removed 100% but the biopsy showed it was cancer. My son is in the chemo stage of the treatment but it has been pretty tough on his body. I read this and and it let's me know that I am not alone and your story helps me understand more and more how we have to appreciate every bit of time we have with our loved ones. He too has been given an uplift but from Lance Armstong who found out about my son and sent him an autograph jersey and book. That one gift made my son feel the best he has felt since September. There are some good people in this world that reach out even tho we may only hear the negative.
My son's favorite team is the Cowboys and he says once he is well again that he wants to go see that first Cowboys game in the new stadium. I am counting the days to give him his next wish.
I will pray for your son because so many people praying for my son has made a difference. I believe there is no greater power then power of the prayers! God bless you and your family.

I'm so glad you shared this with us too. Know Joshua is in my prayers too. Post more often, at least to keep us updated. I for one would appreciate it. Our kids are a blessing.Tejano15;2010625 said:I read this forum every day but I rarely post but I am a huge Cowboy fan just like the rest of you. I felt that I had to post to this story.

It is such a nerve racking time when they are under...we had the biopsy and that was the longest three hours of my life. I can imagine the time you spent waiting for them to finish the surgery was very difficult.
I know Chemo is tough on the body...hang in there, because when you are done he has WON. We were in the hospital last week for three days because he got a fever...well while we were in there they were having a last Chemo party for one little girl that was on her last treatment...it was very exciting.
Hang in there...I will pray for his full recovery!

I am not sure if I copied and pasted right but I am giving it a try. First, I would like to thank all of you for the kind words and prayers that are coming our way. That means so much to us and that is all HE has ever asked for from anyone.
Surgery was the longest 5 hours of my life as well and I understand completely what you are going through each and every day. I just wanted to respond and let you know that if your son EVER needs someone to talk to because he is scared please let us know and my son would be willing to do to talk to him and see if that would help. Sometimes my son has a hard time talking to us because he does not feel that we really know what he is going through and I am sure your son may feel the same way. If he does my son is a good pep talker and has been very positive about the entire process. Just PM me and I can give you my email address or phone number.
And on another note: I hope I actually may get the nerve to actually talk Cowboys in this forum but I am still not sure that I carry the knowledge that you guys have on the subject. I love reading your guys point of views and my son reads this with me sometimes. We laugh because we think we are the biggest Cowboys fans then we see some of the information you guys have and realize we are just one of many to love AMERICA'S TEAM!
Please do. Joshua too. All views are welcome. Some catch a little heat. Nothing like what you both have already conquered.Tejano15;2011286 said:And on another note: I hope I actually may get the nerve to actually talk Cowboys in this forum but I am still not sure that I carry the knowledge that you guys have on the subject. Don't worry. You couldn't possibly be any worse than eduncan, nors, or nathanlt. Seriously, the more posters, the better.Tejano15;2011286 said:Thank you for sharing this...I'm so glad to hear that the surgey removed the tumor and that he's on the road to recovery.
