Why would he? Lets say you're in sales and have been the top salesperson in your company out of 2000 people. Another company hires you due to your credentials, then when you're signing the contract they tell you that they have a college grad that will be your designated closer due to the unique way of closing that he developed in college. Not only would you be offended but you also would not bail him and his unique way of closing out when it starts to falter. You'd let him fail so he get out the way and let you do what they hired you for.
