Same thing happened that always does. Jerrah ran his mouth about Super Bowl, Dak playing 10 more years, OBJ, etc. and the players mirrored the unearned swagger and false confidence.

Eagles and 49ers are gonna clock this team in the playoffs
Funny , if we play eagles and 49 ers in play offs , that means we go past divisional round . I can take that.

Too many distractions including the OBJ drama.
Washington and Tyron back getting practice reps, taking away from what became the normal routine.
Antony Brown injury and adjustments.

Plus Texans were fired up and had a good game plan, threw in the dual QB's. It was their SB.

Some poor play from Dallas and the fumbled punt, Dak was off.
I still can't fathom them risking the top pick to win a meaningless game.

If everything stays the same its looking like Tampa Bay game 1. Probably the lightest opponent a team could ask for in the playoffs.

The Texans have a good pass defense.

Can you guess which defense has given up the least amount of passing touchdowns? The Houston Texans.

I genuinely felt they scouted them wrong.
As bad as the Houston offense as been, they've given up 11 passing touchdowns and have 10 interceptions.

I suspect, at least I hope, a significant portion of our week was spent preparing for the Eagles. Not saying the Cowboys didn't prepare for the Texans. But I think it's possible that they didn't spend all week preparing for them and instead spent some time looking down the road and preparing for the Gals game coming up.

A win is a win, so we still beat the Texans. In the NFL, anything is possible.

Either way, whatever happened, the end result was a win. So I'm hoping we at least spent some of last week gearing up for the Eagles. If that's the case, which I cannot be sure, hence why I say "theory," then that could pay off in the long run. If it isn't, well, like they say, any given Sunday...

Teams have bad games buddy. Nothing to over analyze. They overlooked the Texans, made a big turnover early, the defense didnt show up and it became a game. Then Steele went down and they thought they could put in Ball. That ruined the offense until they finally decided to put Peters in. By then it was almost too late. Yet Dak came in and won the game. Time to move on.

At least they now know that Ball is not an option and we didnt have to lose a game to figure it out.

Once Steele went down and Ball came in the offense had trouble run blocking and pass protecting. Ball himself led directly to the turnover late by the GL.

That Turpin fumble opened to door for the Texans to keep the game competitive. Turpin should have been benched for the 1/2 at least…MM has no accountability on this team…absolutely none. He is coach marshmallow …

3 turnovers. It's really that simple. We should have been destroyed by that but are so much more efficient elsewhere we outscored them anyway.

There’s no way we were spending any amount of time on Philly leading up to the Texans. To suspect we were spending a significant amount of time on Philly is laughable! No team spends any amount of time on an opponent that’s two weeks away when they have a critical game coming up. You sound like you haven’t been following football very long. No offense, but reading some of your posts your insight is extremely skewed. The Cowboys either didn’t take the Texans seriously or what we saw on last Sunday is what the Cowboys are.

No, it just difficult to play a.team that has nothing to lose.

Have you ever played no-stakes or low-stakes Texas Hold'em?
- Some knucklehead with continually go all-in.
- He'll eventually lose but it screws up the game.

There is no way in heck we skipped over the Texans and Jaguars to focus on the Eagles. Absolutely 0 chance.

Norv Turner and other OC's literally said Jimmy use to have them work ahead on other teams when they were facing weak teams, not saying i agree but it for sure happens.
